If they announced a FF7 Remake after Crisis Core, then I would've been excited to the point of instant pre-order. Now that X years has passed, I could care less.
Thank you for showing how broken that analogy is. Stealing is stealing, whether it's right or wrong is up for discussion and interpretation.
I think UPlay in itself is a much better way to get people to buy your games. Although it doesn't do anything against used-game sales, it certainly does encourage gamers to think "Ubisoft" alot more. And I prefer it like that.
Agreed. Blizzard is taking this very far and testing my patience with their DRM-methods. If they admit to their profiteering at our expense, then I'll accept that and buy it because it shows Blizzard are at least admitting it. However, if they try to cover it up with some lame-ass BS Damage-control like Infinity Ward (LOL, can't navigate a server list). It's over.
I like SC and WC back in the day, but they can't ride me on nostalgia to make money. There are enough games out ther...
I prefer "Dildo".
I was always interested in this game since 2007, but I can't find the heart to buy a GFW game. But if this game is REALLY that good....well.....
I bought Gears 1 GFW, and I've had nothing but issues.
First EA starts with their DRM known as the Cerberus Network, now Sony charges us $20 for activation. All to punish the used-game market. And I fear this isn't the worst part yet.
You wanna know why used-games exist? Because one is done with their game. Because the game sucks. Because the price of new games don't justify their content. Want to know how to fix that?
Make games people don't want to toss away. (replay value)
Make games that don't suck. (Gameplay/P...
You don't even need dedicated servers. Just the ability to host a LAN game is fine enough. This-gen, LAN games are as scarce as the 40 y/o virgin from the 60s.
I was kinda hoping to have Cross-Game Chat without having to pay for it. Since you know, Sony's servers aren't the ones hosting the chats, but our own internet connection?
But whatever.
The only thing I understand is that Sony is getting ready for the inevitable hack of PS3s everywhere. Especially because it's hardware-based.
You'll be seeing me around. Bought Halo 3 ODST and ready to go.
I can't tell the difference between the Halo 3 MP Beta and the Halo 3 Retail Game.
I agree with Xi to a certain extent but still agree with AC-130 alot more.
The fact of the matter is that developers are getting away with this and that's causing confusion. Some developers truly are improving their product over the test phases, and most other developers are simply using the Alpha, Beta, Demo excuse to cover their mistakes/laziness up till release date.
Games like KZ2 really do demonstrate the difference between early alpha work to retail products. B...
I am not mad. I'm the only sane one left! You cannot silence the truth. My voice must be heard!
Really people, don't let this guy fool you. Play the Beta and see for yourselves instead of believing exaggerations from a man who probably gets commission off every copy of Halo 3 ODST sold from GameStop.
In the past when PC developers turned console: it's always bad or something less than expected. I'm no developer, but I do have good eyes and am pretty proficient with Halo, Source, 3ds Max, CoD2 Mod Tools, Unreal 3 Academic SDK, and CryEngine 2 public SDK. I hope for all of our sakes, I'm wrong and you're right. Because in the end, we all want Crysis 2 to be a good game.
The problem I see with your statement is that you think Crysis-conservatives like the idea of more close-quarters New York City when the appeal of Crysis was a lush jungle with a wide-open LOD that's renders a whole fricken island in real-time and looks beautiful doing it.
Crytek will never admit Crysis 2 to looking less than Crysis, nor will they never acknowledge the weakness in anything because that undermines their reputation and hurts their game's reputation which equals los...
The game is made on all three platforms, right. But what's the Limiting factor? The Consoles. Very-High on CE3 is the equivalent of Medium on CE2 judging by the tech demo. So PCs are going to get the shaft because all platforms are designed to look the same.
Face it, the consoles are limiting Crysis 2 from being the beast that Crysis was. Crysis was so hot that even HD 5870s struggle to keep it above 60FPS without tweaks and its 2007 graphics still threatens even 2009 console gam...
Crytek is right, "there is no port". Because the PC platform has been dumbed down to fit the console specs. The CE3 tech demo on PS3 looks like Crysis on Medium settings.
I'm glad that Metro 2033 will be available for Steam. I simply hate GFW with a passion. Now all I need is a demo to tide me over and we'll be set.
