I concur my friend. I feel the same exact way when Witcher 3 was delayed again. Sure, I was upset to not get to play the game when I had hoped to but if these past 2 years have taught us anything, it is that games rushed to market in order to make the release date only benefits the publishers, investors and the developers (Although to be fair many devs do not make these decisions, they certainly take the blunt of negative press however.) in the short term, with potential negative connotations...
Nothing in these screen shots gives me that impression, sorry to say. My standards were much lower a few years ago before I built a gaming PC. Now it's hard going back to strictly consoles. That's not to say there aren't any amazing looking console games, not at all.

Yeah but 720p is underwhelming if you ask me.For MP is one thing but I sure as hell hope the SP looks better. I seriously hope they are able to at the very least push 900p. The issue alot of gamers have is their monitor/t.v.'s are native 1080p. If you were to play any game on a native 900p monitor like the one I have, the games actually look fairly crisp and good imo. I play on PC though and use a moderate amount of AA, so I'm sure that helps the IQ.

Of course it will not be as easy to notice while playing but even at 1440p I notice a lot of jaggies, could use some AA imo. Other than that they are OK screens, nothing mind blowing.
I hope the campaign looks better, which I'm assuming it will. Not a graphics whore, just an observation. Maybe I'm used to playing on PC and have become spoiled with the luxury of different forms of AA and multiple samples.
I could say the same exact thing about Fallout. You want a good fantasy open world RPG, look no further than Witcher 3. I for one believe it's going to live up to the hype.
Skyrim was not really superior to any of the TES games imo. Yeah it had decent graphics for when it released and the combat was a tad better but honestly, it was a step back for the series in many ways. The fact that it was as successful as it was proves that. It is severely simplified so the lowest common denominator can play it without the need of using their brains.

My guess would be that the console versions are using FXAA. A fast, low-cost hit on performance AA at the expense of softer textures/image. It's one of those love it or hate it type of AA solutions. It does a good job eliminating jaggies but tends to soften fidelity. (That is of course if that is what the console versions use)
I have TEW on PC and it defaults with FXAA, however, the PC ver. additionally offers SMAA and MLAA.
Saddest part about your comment is that you are more than likely 100% correct and even worse? There will be a plethora of gaming zombies hook,line & sinker gobbling up every single dlc/expansion release this game has. This is why the industry has become the cesspool that it is in the last 5-10 years.

I skipped this gen buying a console because they are underpowered and there was no way I would miss out on all the mods, 60+fps,higher resolutions, biggest game library overall with past gen games at your finger tips,best multiplatform games out of any platform,more control options,more control and freedom in general!

Agree. That is certainly without a doubt one of Destiny's major problems. Cannot stand cross-gen games, no offense 360/ps3 gamers.
That is why I truly believe games like Witcher 3 & Batman Arkham knight to name a few are easily going to be a few steps a head of the competition up until this point purely based on the fact they are "next gen" only titles. I'm especially eager to play Witcher 3! :)

Your rating system is a bit botched lol. How in the hell can a game score a 8.3 and not be exciting at all? Just my opinion of course. A low-mid 8 tier rating is a pretty damn good game in my book. Sounds more like a 6.0-7.0
