I wish it had a PC port. It's crazy that R* never made a PC port yet we have PC versions of almost every game they've ever come out with. If there ever was a game that deserved a PC port, it's RDR. Just imagining the mod possibilities, visual and performance improvements is staggering. :(
Please let this be an indicator that they are making RDR remaster, and that this time it will actually have a PC version! We need a RDR sequel as well, gaming gods hear our prayers!

I don't know about you but not owning an XB1 and playing on a gaming PC,...
That's a very plausible explanation. Regardless of the reasoning behind the marketing of this, if you do not already own the XB1 and were also looking to get a Surface Pro 4, this is actually a pretty decent deal. However, the SP 4 is pretty damn expensive so at that rate, at least for what I'd prefer, you would be better off taking that money and building a gaming PC. My 2 cents.
kraenk12 - Let's wait for more footage of the single-player before making any definitive judgments, MP IMHO is not the mode where this will be most apparent, it's the SP that will show what kind of atmosphere the game will have. The initial game reveal looked to have that style and atmosphere that I like from GOW 1.
MS buying gears doesn't have anything to do with it, it was always exclusive or am I missing something? It was always Xbox exclusive minus GOW 1 on PC and the recent Ultimate GOW on PC. I'm expecting GOW 4 to come to PC as well. Point being, if you ever wanted to play a gears game, you always had to own a Microsoft console.
@ChubbyChuy - If you were responding to my comment - I never said scary. I said that GOW had a creepy atmosphere and a more horror-esque vibe compared to GOW 2, 3 and Judgement. Horror elements and a creepy atmosphere do not equal scary necessarily. GOW is no Outlast or Dead Space, two examples of games that I would consider scary. * Amnesia would probably be a better example of a scary game.
@Wallstreet37 I bring up DOOM as it's a recent game with a MP Beta and it received complaints not that different than what GOW is getting now. Also, it doesn't have anything to do with a powerful gaming rig, I have a powerful gaming rig now, the DOOM MP Beta was slower than it should/could of been, hence the video I posted showing that in fact, DOOM is a lot faster than what was seen with the MP. I'd also ask you to please refrain from slinging unsubstantiated B.S. by calling me a...
GOW 4 isn't launching until Oct.'16 ? They have tons of time to make improvements then! Unless it comes to PC I will not even be able to play it but I love the series. I'll never forget firing up Gears 1 on a SD T.V. in my room in the attic at my old house years ago and being completely blown away. Yeah, even on a SD T.V. it was one of the best looking games I had ever seen on console and it had a dark and creepy atmosphere that I loved. Gamers these days are either too young to k...
I think you're missing the point. Some fans want 4 to go back to GOW 1 atmosphere (Speaking for myself here), I enjoyed both GOW 2 and GOW 3 but I felt they lost something that GOW 1 had. IMHO, The horror elements and overall creepiness of Sera was captured perfectly in gears 1, not so much in the sequels. I immediately got that feeling of GOW 1 after watching the GOW 4 trailer. To each their own.
Outdated? How exactly is it outdated other than the fact it's another...
The irony hurts my tummy. It reminds me of the recent DOOM Beta and now look at the recent video of the new Nivida 1080 GPU showcased using DOOM single-player running on the Vulkan API.

It looks and runs much better and I imagine the MP will be an improvement over the Beta as well. This is what beta's are for after all, to get feedback. It's like gamers these days...
@Tbot38 I know. I haven't had the extra money to own either the Wii or Wii-U :( My plan is to make sure I buy the NX shortly after launch.
I still think adding Origins and putting a $60 price tag would be a much better deal rather than just Arkham and Arkham City for $40.
2.5D would be pretty cool as well IMHO. A 2D Metroid would also be nice. 2D sidescrollers have had a renaissance lately, a real resurgence of Metroidvanias and sidescroller beat em ups and shooters, plus those games that are a mix of genres.
Same goes for Metroid. I don't even own a Wii or Wii-U, I would of got one if there were enough games when they launched and if I had the extra funds in general, If the NX is backwards compatible, I think I might grab one, depending on the price at launch. I miss playing Nintendo games, I haven't owned a Nintendo console sine the Gamecube, which was an awesome system. I love Mario, Zelda, Metroid, DK, Star Fox etc. When was Legend of Zelda for Wii-U first announced? 2013?
Thanks for the downvote whoever did it ;) Excuse me for not following Nintendo news everyday. I just read an article recently that was talking about Zelda being on the Wii-U and that it was delayed and would have a big showing at this years E3. The article even made mention that at one point this new Zelda was rumored to be put on hiatus for the Wii-U and was moving development to the NX. Wasn't this game announced years ago? Damn they're taking their good ole time. Well as long as i...
EVGA of course ;)
Sure but AFAIK, Zelda is a Wii-U game. Unless they have another studio doing one for the NX launch.
OK, so let me get this straight, the new Zelda is going to be a dual console release? Or is there a completely different Zelda in development for the NX? Here's this new info. I came across -
"The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will be playable for the first time at E3. Nintendo will transform its booth at the E3 video game trade show next month in Los Angeles to immerse f...
And this is why the game devs, primarily the publishers will continue to milk gamers with shoddy dlc and shady Season passes. The is the age of remaster when it comes to consoles. I'm glad that I decided to build a gaming PC instead of buying one of the new consoles. I'd urge anyone thinking about buying this NEO or upgraded XB1 to just take the plunge and build a gaming PC. I cannot see how these new consoles will not be pretty expensive i.e. $500-700 is my best guess. Probably $600....
CPU power isn't there yet in order to emulate PS3/XB360 games efficiently. I cannot remember the exact emulator CPU ratio needed but it's something like a 10x more powerful CPU than the original console you're trying to emulate. This is why the Dolphin Emulator works so well emulating Nintendo games from the NES, SNES, N64, GC and Wii era of consoles. Someone please clarify/correct me if I'm wrong.
