Due to the instal base of COD its easiest one to argue but its the example rather than the rule. I've seen them refer to activision owned IP repeatedly in their arguments and not just COD COD is the one the media has discussed most.
No it's to protect the market in general and it just so happens ehat NS wants is a monopoly where everyone has to use their services in some form - that is bad for the industry.
I mean XV really for the most part might aswell have bot even been an open world.
It isn't clear to me that those titles will be the ones that get cut. Unfortunately with data analytics companies like parrot analytics viewing it as a moral necessity to play with data to help companies justify propping up the titles with woke nonsense stuffed into them in the face of poor uptake rates by subscribers I can't see it happening.) You also loose the buying power consumers currently have (feel free to message me if you ant to know more about the parrot analytics thing.) ...
No idea what this game is or if I'm even interested. What I will say however is that I think that a title like this- the uk should be on the soft launch list Lol. A franchise created and somewhat centred around the uk - should use the uk for its soft launch to test it imo.
It depends if what you want is a game industry with fewer blockbuster titles and a lot of what woukd have once been free to play titles now locked behind gamespass and almost everything GAAS in order to ensure you have to stay subscribed. A drastic reduction in number of devs including devs due to publishers having less money =, reduction in jobs aswell.
Thing is I don't know how long they have to actually make monet now. After all xbox division will have spotlight on...
I have no doubt that there will be plenty of good games on ps vr2
@badz149 ahh OK. Also very jealous of you with that spiderman ps4 Pro....
Yes.
This isn't thr first time I've seen an announcement about an MS published title leaving games pass. I kinda assumed their games were on the service for goof but clearly not.
You skipped ps4?
You realise them saying they released a hotfix for the pc version means nothing and doesn't mean thry literally made the hotfix.
My brother is a developer. Works for a support studio the way it works is the studio they are working for they are essentially contractors to. So any work they do on the game counts as being done by the devs behind the game. So yes Iron Galaxy ported this. But likely some of their staff are still working on contract for ND post launch to bug...
If that's to be its prove then it's tech will be vastly inferior and you will be able to tell as it will lead to a less comfortable experience using it. There's no two ways about it. Apple are hardly known for offering cheap tech typically they overpriced everything so whatever price it is take off 200 dollars and that's what it should really b. Makes me think they are likely releasing one of these chappy mobile phone vr headsets that your phone is the screen for.
it suggests FACTIONS will be on pc and playstation. Nothing else.
Sony should consider simply saying "nah we good. Not certifying that then." Would certainly be interesting to see what would happen....
Hopefully the parachute fails to deploy....
Nah this is him giving himself a backup here. If it fails they'll make another deak with Sony as the company holding the majority of the console market share so that they give Sony a reduced cut on each copy sold etc. He knows where he makes his money. Microsoft can do what they want with the IP anyway once the merger goes through. If they want to absorb dev costs at some point and make activision IP's exclusive in an attempt to capture market share they can. But If ultimately the mer...
@mkis007 there is only one solution. Push games as a service and episodic games and free to play style games. Games that require a massive investment of time over a long period that you have to keep revisiting
Which is why game pass is cancer for the industry as whole long term.
Oh also I gotta point out if we want to talk monopoly well every pc comes with xbox gaming pre installed. Look at steam players literally 98% of them have a Windows pc. Factor in those numbers. Steam and epic games don't come pre-installed. I see no adverts for them on the OS. I do however see adverts about xbox games and games pass at an OS level..... hmmm.
@agnosticgamer cod deal will end after 10 years you can guarantee it.
