This isn't thr first time I've seen an announcement about an MS published title leaving games pass. I kinda assumed their games were on the service for goof but clearly not.
You skipped ps4?
You realise them saying they released a hotfix for the pc version means nothing and doesn't mean thry literally made the hotfix.
My brother is a developer. Works for a support studio the way it works is the studio they are working for they are essentially contractors to. So any work they do on the game counts as being done by the devs behind the game. So yes Iron Galaxy ported this. But likely some of their staff are still working on contract for ND post launch to bug...
If that's to be its prove then it's tech will be vastly inferior and you will be able to tell as it will lead to a less comfortable experience using it. There's no two ways about it. Apple are hardly known for offering cheap tech typically they overpriced everything so whatever price it is take off 200 dollars and that's what it should really b. Makes me think they are likely releasing one of these chappy mobile phone vr headsets that your phone is the screen for.
it suggests FACTIONS will be on pc and playstation. Nothing else.
Sony should consider simply saying "nah we good. Not certifying that then." Would certainly be interesting to see what would happen....
Hopefully the parachute fails to deploy....
Nah this is him giving himself a backup here. If it fails they'll make another deak with Sony as the company holding the majority of the console market share so that they give Sony a reduced cut on each copy sold etc. He knows where he makes his money. Microsoft can do what they want with the IP anyway once the merger goes through. If they want to absorb dev costs at some point and make activision IP's exclusive in an attempt to capture market share they can. But If ultimately the mer...
@mkis007 there is only one solution. Push games as a service and episodic games and free to play style games. Games that require a massive investment of time over a long period that you have to keep revisiting
Which is why game pass is cancer for the industry as whole long term.
Oh also I gotta point out if we want to talk monopoly well every pc comes with xbox gaming pre installed. Look at steam players literally 98% of them have a Windows pc. Factor in those numbers. Steam and epic games don't come pre-installed. I see no adverts for them on the OS. I do however see adverts about xbox games and games pass at an OS level..... hmmm.
Except the eu and cma ultimately didn't go eith that definition.
Different markets in the west the comparison of Microsoft and Sony is a valid one excluding nintendo- because that's how our market behaves and how consumers view it by and large. In Japan a different market consumers behave differently and such a comparison is not valid. In Japan Nintendo is very much a competitor of Sony and actually has larger market share.
contrary to popular belief actually the republicans don't get on all too well with MS. MS are very pally with a number of democrats however.
"sony has a monopoly of 98% of Japanese games I'm told" pmsl whoever told you that just made you look like a total mug.
Edeprez-no you Jack the price up once you have a monopoly by cutting off your competitors and buying all the major IP's and no one has any choice anymore.
But the revenue doesn't matter to MS it does matter to Sony though- that'd why MS has an incentive to cut off its main competitors revenue streams wherever possible.
Really? They'll get more gamespass subscribers. It has 25 million subscribers... how many copies would a game like starfield have sold? 20 million? Maybe but probably not. Therefore the number of new subscribers won't be substantial .
You know except all sonys exclusives that are on pc now.... at a later date but still on pc. Moat of their exclusives dating back to at least 2016.... so your wrong the same can be said of Sony's titles.
MICROSOFT STARTED THAT TREND OF LOCKING DOWN DLC AND SKINS ETC.
Yes.
