@Zeke68 Sony have pulled the reigns on nothing there is literally an interview form about 6 years ago where he talks about the fact he has a prequel story he'd like to see told but it has to come after Ragnarok. He even hints at Faye being playable/protagonist. The game won't be called god of war either apparently.

Love the downvotes considering it's since become public knowledge that yes bluepoint DID infact pitch the god of war game. They also eventually pitched a Bloodborne remake but from software torpedoed the project, sadly.

Ultimately whatever it is. Does anyone seriously want a good of war game where we play as anyone other than the god of war?....

The science fiction game was scrapped a decade ago. People are getting stuff mixed up. We never had any info what Corey's project actually was.

It's more the fact the person incharge of AI being taking over. That's a very deliberate decision.

You say "no body wanted" but we don't actually know if the Devs were the ones to pitch it. For all we know

Wonder if the heavily rumoured Witcher 3 dlc will get a reveal? It was expected to be at game awards but was apparently moved out of that. A state of play would seem a sensible time to announce it?

I've seen the screenshots it's quite obviously a significant graphical downgrade....

Given early adopters are typically less than 10% of gamers..... This doesn't really matter.

This is nonsense. We know from leaks Sony has contracts to manufacture ps6 starting later this year with TSMC. To release in 2029 or 2030 would mean 3-4 year old tech, that's not gonna fly which means going back to drawing board and somehow doing all the R and D on an accelerated timeline. This would mean hundreds of millions more in r and d spending and wasting what came before. No, the phrasing in that analyst report doesn't necessarily mean a ps6 delay it simply means ps5 will like...

This is baffling, this must have been practically complete. Given ESRB ratings and the timeline they repeatedly gave for it's release. Cos it restarted and took so long I reckon it's cheaper to make it a tax write off than to release

Oh oh oh I can do this too. GTA 7 will be made at some point in the future. Fallout 5 will enter development in the future too

I think people have to remember the pandemic at start of this gen and how it effected game development. This next gen we will see the PS4 etc support dropped and truly see the full utilisation of SSD's improvements to ray and path tracing and the impact of AI upscaling etc will be where the biggest improvements will come from.

Doesn't change the fact it is a steaming pile of shit really ....

Not sure I buy all of this, most Devs sing songs praises when it comes to collaborating with them these days. I feel like the other side to this story would be interesting to hear.

Is this a shock? What with the latest budget and even more tax rises. The income groups who should be able to afford stuff can't as they are being hammered. These things use energy and that's the most expensive in the world here in the UK due to GREEN energy subsidies etc. Also in this economic environment waiting for black Friday sales will be more important and that will count into December sales because of when it is alot of the time.

Ok but the cost of 32gb of RAM is also extortionate and will be for foreseeable future.... This isn't about value really the author has used the wrong term it's about affordability now. That price for ram means that even a mid-low end of becomes extortionate to build yourself. OEM's and manufacturers like Sony will have long term agreements with the RAM production companies that mean even if prices increase for them it won't be anywhere near as severe as for consumers buying ...

Sales don't include the copies they gave away FFS... Also they announced HZD sales of like 20 million before that happened.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

I mean it may have run it all but I assure you black ops 7 is fucking awful.
