They haven't said much but wouldn't be shocked if he is in the main game...
Yeah but they confirmed the ability to upgrade a standard edition to deluxe by buying the add on for a tenner on psn store so people will still be able to get these skins if they want. Honestly they look shit so no real loss imo.
We've discussed this before. The ps5 exclusives collectors editions have a digital code because there is a disc drive-less version of the ps5 and producing two collectores editions one for people with disc drives and one for people without would be silly. Apart from anything people with a disc drive could buy either but people without could only buy one making it unfair because of the limited nature of the collectors editions.
I think most people likely to subscribe to it to get this gsme already have it actually.
That was because the exact same game on PlayStation only ever had 1 disc. Back then everything was streamed off the disc which also meant it effected the gameplay significantly. It was all because MS decided to back hd-dvd vs blu-ray amd we all know what won that format war....
@variantAEC NGL that sounds pretty impressive for a ps2 game. Shame the game was clearly more of s niche title as I certainly haven't heard of it. Also thanks, yes you are correct and yes that was rather my point the levels aren't just sitting there in the ram taking up space waiting for you to transition and if they were - that woukd have led to limitations in terms of what else they had going on, on screen be that draw distance, fewer enemies, lower Particle effects or lower res tex...
I think the issue some people have here is the consoles are roughly analogous to mid-tier pc right. I mean there's some ways their architecture varies to a pc that means thst comparison isn't completely valid particularly the ps5 with its I/O system etc. However broadly speaking that the case however on pc you will presumeably be able to play it at 60fps with equivalent or maybe slightly worse hardware than the series x/s by turning the graphics settings down. Now if that is the case ...
This is Bethesda at launch I expect it will be unstable.
It has a 60fps option they already confirmed it. They however showcased the 30fps version as you might expect.
I don't understand how this can be affordable also people remember this will include activision games if they purchase them so infact I think it would mean less games releasing each year.... not more. How this is financially viable on games pass is beyond me. They appear to have hit a ceiling in the 20-30 million subscribers range. Running all the studios they would own with abk acquisition will cost a large chunk of that. Marketing for each title and other associated dev costs for each t...
Age of empires 4 came out over a year ago??
This is true and it likely will but I enjoy the payday games so I'll buy it on ps5 if it gets good reviews.
Won't help you on a game where your characters are stored server side not locally...
"Like it's 2004" lol you mean like 2007 surely?
@rlow1 firstly when I say I do a fair bit of coding myself what I mean if I must elaborate is I'm a nuclear astrophysicist who's done affair bit of work involving modelling using computers and specifically optimising code for hpc. So at the very least I have an excellent understanding of how the tech works and how dramatically different the solutions being referred to here are. The tradeoffs would be CONSIDERABLE. You are literally talking about generating two levels side by side and ...
My brother is a video game developer and I do a fair bit of coding myself and I can tell you 100% the tradeoffs would be considerable.
@petebloodyonion Sony announced a remote streaming console not a cloud streaming console.... the latter woukd have made more sense imo but hey...
As I have been saying for several years speaking as a physicist- I can't see how e get around the issue that latency has a hard limit the speed of light. Perhaps there are technologies that can improve speed of light in a fibre optic but realistically whatever happens the speed of light in a vacuum is the hard limit to how fast anything can travel. So bearing that in mind you are still looking at latency depending on how far you are from the isp exchange and the servers, how long signals ...
"With some tradeoffs" so it wasn't possible on ps3 ...
2025 almost certainly. It will be nixes that port it and they have another project first apparently now they have done ratchet so looking at, late 2025 I'd have thought. Maybe summer 2025.
