I hope Doom 4 is better than Doom 3. I would like a re-envisioning of the original. Doom 3 was not bad, but it did not feel like Doom. Give me a high tech castle with demons to shoot. One of my other old favorite was Duke Nukem, but we won't even mention what happened there.
I just wish games would start being fun again. Great graphics come with a price every time you see something that doesn't quite jive with reality. Actually that is what I was thinking too. I'm sure that would be disappointing to some, but I would really like to see some of these type games coming back. PS2 had a ton of platformers, RPGs, and just about every other genre you can imagine. That is why it was the best selling console of all time. It appealed to everyone before online FPS games ruined everything. (I'm not knocking online FPS, just like variety)

Not sure we want that though. Competition is why the PS4 is what it is. It always needs to be at least a 2 horse race to keep competition healthy. I'm happy the PS4 is in the lead because I don't like MS buying 3rd party exclusives just to keep them off PS. But MS needs to stay competitive even if having a minority share of the market. Sony needs them at their heels so we keep get the best AAA exclusives on PS4.

Actually, it is damaging the xb1. HD has been around long enough now that people understand the difference. Last gen, it might not has made such a big deal, of course the consoles were pretty much par for the course, but this gen it matters.
