I am glad that Epic is moving on. I did not care for the Gears series at all. I did end up playing the first 3 because I got them all used after I got a free xbox 360 with the purchase of a PC. The series had high production values but poor writing like a summer action flick. It was the gameplay that ultimately caused me to dislike the games though. I hope this means that Epic is going multi-platform with the titles they are working on this gen. Not sure how this is a megaton announcement as ...
Great. This pretty much confirms that Epic will be multiplatform this gen.
The harm is not from friendly jest. The harm comes in when people actually get depressed because their brand or team is not winning. I have a nephew who gets so emotionally involved in Nintendo that he has litterally been depressed for months. He is a little autistic, which obviously makes things a little worse, but there are individuals who just get too wrapped up in all of this. My post is for them.
All we are saying is give peace a chance. Haha, I saw one post where someone was actually talking about sides! What in the world! Do you work for Sony or MS? Stop getting so invested in things my friends. Just enjoy what you have. If you have an xb1, enjoy it, it has some great games. If you have a PS4, enjoy it. PS fans, please rise above, even if you had to hear this all last gen.
It's watchdogs, almost assuredly. Makes sense, it's probably running on the same engine as AC4 with some upgraded effects. While I feel bad for xb1 owners, I am glad to see that devs are not holding back the PS4 version for the xb1. At least not in resolution or framerates.
I would be upset if it wasn't. I have a feeling though that the game is going to suffer from over-hype. We can't reasonably expect UC4 to have the a accolades of TLoU. I'm a huge UC fan so I hope it does, but I would rather have realistic expectations.
In other news Square-Enix has decided to become Enix-Square. The name change comes with a new commitment to great RPG games instead of the shoddy ones they have put out since PS2. The company's president has already promised a true sequel to Chrono Trigger and a Secret of Mana game that actually makes sense.
Once again MS endears itself to gamers.
That's how I felt about Killer Instinct for Xbox One.
I feel as if this is bull. Not even a week after Nintendo downgrades it's forecast for Wii U, specs mysteriously leak and Nintnedo is building a power house capable of putting the PS4 and XB1 to shame if you combined their power. This is not going happen. Nintendo has some hard choices to make, but releasing a new system and letting one fail is not a good choice. Parents (since the Wii U is mostly bought for kids) will not take kindly to another Nintendo system if this happened.
Nintendo, oh for the days of yore. Remember the days of Super Mario RPG, Rareware, and Square exclusives? The real golden age of gaming that gave us Chrono Trigger and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past? Alas, I miss the days when nobody cared about specs and particle effects. Imagination and 8 or 16 bits is all it took to sweep us away to worlds not yet surpassed. Return to your roots and you will find life again so long as you find life anew, for what is made should not be remade again...
I'm glad Sony is selling the PS4, but these articles are getting out of hand. Both systems are so close that it could go either way. The end of this year will likely be a better view of which system is performing better. I have a PS4 and I think it's a great system. But it is naive to think that MS will not outspend Sony to get exclusives, endorsements, and on advertising. Sony has it's work cut out for it to stay on top. They need to keep excient high by showing off some games an...
To me the Master chief died in Halo 3. Halo 4 was a terrible story and a mediocre game that should have never happened. I remember playing the opening 15 mins and thinking wow this is going to be great, only to be disappointed by the rest of the game. I'm just not that excited about Halo anymore, I've moved on.
I understand the PC gaming community believes that upgradeable consoles are a good thing, but the reality is they are not. The whole point of consoles is to be a standardized gaming machine. No worries with graphic settings, controller settings, etc. you just pit the game in and play. Not everyone wants to worry with whether or not their system can play the latest and greatest game. They want to know that if the box says PS4 it will work on their system. I've met PC gamers who spend more ...
Not sure I understand, are you a gamer or just a fanboy? I don't want xb1 games to fail just because I own a PS4. Competition is good for the industry. You can bet if this game is successful that a similar title or the sequel will be on PS4.
Love my Ps4, but this article fails to support its claim. The future continues to prove that nothing is future proof, so just enjoy today.
I'm not an xb1 owner, nor am I interested in Titanfall, but this really seems like a non issue. 6v6 is a low player count by today's standards, but it sounds like the game is being built around the lower count. Just wait and see what you get, you are giving in to preconceptions of every other Fps out there. Maybe, just maybe, this is something new.
Don't forget no significant first party support either. In reality you are getting a gaming PC that plays less games than an average gaming PC. At this time I see no compelling reason to buy these.
You pay the subscription no matter what. This is like saying you don't get a free streaming version of a movie you already own on Netflix. You either buy the subscription to have access to the service or you do not.
I agree EA should have made Titanfall on PS4, but I don't think we'll see huge changes in exclusive games coming to the PS4. At least not from EA. Think of MS exclusives as a kick starter. MS provides money up front that hedges against failure and a lot of advertising that sells games and hypes them. Take for instance the Gears games last gen. With MS feeling threatened this gen, expect to see a lot of money being shelled out for exclusives. MS will outspend Sony big time to try to wi...
