Infamous has always gotten sort of mixed reviews. Plus TLOU and GTA V happened since the last Infamous, so expectations of story driven and open world games are much higher.
Actually, this is what I have been expecting all along. Infamous games have always been a little polarizing review wise. They are great games, but they just are not Uncharted of TLOU. An 8.0 is a respectable score for the third game in the series, especially if they did not really innovate much.
It is 960p to each eye, so really it only needs to be 60fps equivalent of 1080p.
Oculus guys fired back, I can't help but think they are crossing their fingers Sony keeps this PS4 only. I also got to think Sony's plans are bigger than that in the VR realm. My biggest fear is that the focus on VR doesn't hurt game quality. I really want a new Star War with the battle of Hoth! Wow that would be awesome in VR.

Of course, games are sexist, racist, and bigoted. Not only that, the designers intend for it to be that way. Why the only reason Nathan Drake isn't wearing a white hood and beating on helpless women is because they were trying to keep a teen rating. I have heard videogames mentioned from th pulpit a few times, most in reference to those who let them become a vice. That is what preachers do, they are supposed to talk about the human condition. However, I know my preacher thinks they are fine so long as they do not consume you. Let's face it gamers, there are some who get wrapped up in gaming and let it harm their lives. I have been gaming most of my life and I would consider myself a devout Christian.
Honestly, if you are going to make religious games it's best to stick with allegory. I am a Christian and I think games based on Biblical events are a terrible idea. There is just not a lot of leeway for possible outcomes without offending a great number of people. Games should not dance around religion, nor should the only games that ever mention it always bash religious ideas, but games based on Biblical events are just not a good idea IMO.
Agreed, people need to stop overreacting to this. Most of the comparisons I have seen have been apples to oranges with different times of day and low res videos. I'm not saying no downgrade took place, but it might not be as significant as what some are making it out to be. IMO, MS is actually not winning here because I don't think the game's appeal is going to really push systems. They paid a lot for this exclusitivity. I agree with the article, chances are there will be no real winner. That is no to say they cannot claim some victory keeping it off the PS4. Of course we'll just have to wait and see.
I don't get it actually, I understand competitiveness, but all these MP FPS games are just the same thing over a over again. TF has no real campaign and therefore no online co-op. At least COD has a campaign. Believe it or not people do play the COD campaigns and even buy the game to play the campaign. TF sales will not reflect SP purchases.
To be honest most of these numbers mean nothing. Clock speeds are only a good comparison if you are talking about the exact same architecture. The PS4 has a slower CPU clock and GPU clock but has shown better performance than the XB1 in both areas. While they might both be using AmD APUs, there is enough difference in design that the PS4 has a pretty decent HW advantage.
Samus hands down. The master chief has never fought Ridley or Mother Brain. One hyper blast and the chief would be toast. :) no offense to Halo fans.
So if this is so taxing to the system, I wonder why they chose this instead of some other slight downgrades to get to 60 fps, after all the sp campaign runs at above 30fps. Xenoblade had huge draw distances, and one of the best looking Wii games IMO, I am really looking forward to X. I okay with 720p upscaled, it is most likely.
Uh, powerhouse might be an overstatement, I mean it is more capable in many ways than last gen consoles, but it's no PS4. The RAM alone is a huge advantage for PS4 and XB1. That being said. I love Nintendo, if they just didn't make silly mistakes! Letting Rare slip away was a big one! The best games on N64 were Rare games, they practically carried the system. Nintendo and Rare would have benefited, but now they just make Kinect Sports. Rare made BK, BK2, DKC64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct, and more. I don't think any dev has put out that many hits in one console.
