Let's be clear, there has not been one article, at least I have not seen one, since final specs were revealed that has claimed XB1 has superior or even equal specs to the PS4. Speculation that XB1 could close the gap some with esram is the only thing being discussed. XB1 will not have the raw processing power of the PS4. There is no secret weapon built into XB1, it is at a 30-60% disadvantage. There is also speculative talk about the Azure Cloud processing filling the gap, but no real ev...
Please be action RPG like Amalur or Darksiders.
No I don't think so, the PS4 has a clear advantage that will persist throughout this gen.
These articles are written just so the PC master race can have something to gloat about while the new consoles are getting all the attention. The thing is, I prefer console gaming and console exclusives. Mid gen, it will be time for me to buy a new PC and I'll probably get a decent gfx card. That is what I did last gen and I did end up playing mass effect and a few other games on it because they looked better than the console counterpart. However, I was never disappointed by AAA console g...
I agree, but the fact that the Wii had such a large install base and so little support is more of what I was referring to. I don't have any evidence, but I feel like even Nintendo stopped supporting the Wii like you would expect them to once it was fully and irreversably hacked.
Slow news day.
Great design, good power, slick UI. It's not perfect, but in my opinion it is the best console design, astetically and internals, ever produced.
It really depends on what they can do with it now that it's dumped. Allowing external hard drives though is going to be a huge security issue if they do gst the ability to run backups. Homebrew was arguably one of the factors that killed the Wii. Considering the Homebrew allowed you to download a game to an external HD and then play the backup. I ended up using hb when my disk drive went out for the games I owned, but it was easy to see how I could pirate games if I wanted to.
Epic hired a lot of the programmers that worked on Kingdoms of Amalor. Hopefully an open world RPG is in the cards. Please not an MMO unless it is seamless like NFS Rivals.
A lot of stupid articles make it to n4g.
They sacrificed gpu space for esram so that kinect would run faster. Looks like it's paying off.
See no reason to buy XB1 with multiplats and exclusives better on PS4. I won't miss Halo. Titanfall is just not a system seller to me.
You must remember that all Uncharted games thus far are modern day with ties to past events. Just because the trailer has individuals from history does not mean you will be playing as those characters. It was likely just revealing some of the plot of the new game. Modern pirates were done in UC3. We'll just have to wait and see who the protagonist and antagonist are. My guess is the antagonist will be someone with a lot of money and a private army though.
While ND could go a different direction with new characters, I doubt they will. Nathan and crew are nearly PS mascots now. It could certainly breath new life in the series by changing up the characters as you have new back stories and new situations, but I doubt that will happen. Either way, ND will likely make a great game.
One of the only RPGs I actually took the time to play and beat last gen. It was great, I have actually been meaning to return to it to get some of the rare monsters, but alas no real motivation to do so. I wish the game had a good after game plot like DQVIII.
The PS4 is definely the superior design, pretty much in every regard. Games are whAt really matters though. Right now both are lacking in that regard, but that is to be expected a launch.
The pop in actually seems to be a lod issue. I'm not so sure that it is a hardware thing as opposed to a coding thing. It's random textures. I will give it to you that it distracts from the otherwise extremely high quality of the game. It is a launch title though. Hopefully they'll patch it out but I doubt it. Just beat the sp campaign today.
Proof? I am pretty sure that is not true.
Yes, I think Sony learned their lesson. Show gameplay footage of the actual game running on the actual machine. All the XB1 games were running on powerful PC hardware.
Digital foundry actually found the PS4 was suffering from what appeared to be frame drops, but it was really because the framerate was above 60 fps. Try to keep current.
