It's much more complicated than LBP, if that helps. This is a pretty serious engine. This isn't for the amateur.
Damn... the licensing agreement is pretty awesome if you want to release a game. No fees up to the first $5,000 in revenue.
People usually think the refs were paid off when their teams lose...
That's quite a bit of content for $20. I mean, GTA episodes recycle the same city, but for ODST they built entirely new maps.
I'm going to wait for the Reach beta to decide if I really got my money's worth.
Eh... it is a short expansion with a tacked on multiplayer. But I'll be damned if I didn't have fun playing it.
@The Killer: "i bet that if it was sony that lied about their numbers you would see the media attacking them like dogs on New York Times and CNN." Right... and they will probably call you up for the on-air interview...
I'm with MLG on this. You guys are knitting yourself a delusion of massive proportions. Killzone 2 was NOT the second coming. Good it was, but how come it declined while Halo still goes strong? Shouldn't Killzone 2 have displaced Halo 3? I mean... besides in your mind?
Yes, 360 has a "counter" to LBP. It's called Kodu and it can do many things LBP can't do. I'll grant that it's not as polished as LBP. But honestly, they are very different games, the same way all...
The only real problem with PS3 fanboys is their fanatical faith in Sony, nearly religiously. Sony saved large chunks of the gaming population from lapsing because they outgrew what Nintendo and Sega were offering. That EARNED a deserved loyal following, but somewhere that went wrong and Sony started getting c0cky. Then, the fanboys got c0cky too, thinking their interests and Sony's interests were the same. Frankly, this is the problem: fanboys think their company has their best interests ...
It's not so much FANboys that suck... it's the HATEboys. It's those people who can't stand people being happy with a product they don't like. What kind of fu&ked up is that?
@SL1M DADDY: The day Microsoft stops fixing my Xbox for free is the day I drop it for the PS3.
Stick it to 'em Bill! I do my part to support the industry. Those free loaders can go to hell for all I care.
Download what then? Porn?
The answer to your question is yes.
Honestly, my only knock on the way this game was handled was how it appeared to be marketed to RPG players when it should have been marketed to shooter players. The property was all wrong, but the game design was positively wonderful.
This core problem is the cost of 360 hard drives. End of story.
People really need to get f**k over themselves when it comes to pricing. If people buy it, it's justified. That's how a free market works. If you don't want to pay $60, don't. If you want to play, you pay $60.
End of discussion.
If you got over your preconceptions of what a Shadowrun game was supposed to look like, the game that actually came out was impeccably balanced and tons of fun. It mixed together some of the finest traditions of FPS, and did so in a balanced way.
The fans destroyed this game for no good reason.
You are not my boy. You could not be further from my boy.
No, I do not know how you roll, and I care not.
You heard it here: Insomniac is turning tricks to make PS3 profitable.... </kidding>
I say, don't break what works, but I do agree that it's time Bungie moved forward with something new.
But I don't want to see drastic changes, like some games make. Sometimes sequels in some games are indistinguishable from their predecessors. THAT is "milking" the name for a completely different game... so much more than Halo does.
I have high expectations for Reach, if only for them to provide something new and unique beyond the standard Halo mechanics we have seen so far. They need to raise the bar again... and the only way I can see that happening is if they introduce some hybrid style of game play no one else has gotten right yet.
Maybe that will be some sort of MMO-ish structure... or an RTS-ish structure blended with the trademark Halo mechanics. Either way, don't kid yourself into thinking Bungie w...
Seems like recent GTAs have been more about commentary on the American way of life and it's myriad contradictions and counter-intuitive principles. I don't think Rockstar will give up the target rich environment of the US for French surrender jokes...
That's right.... there is a massive Microsoft conspiracy to slander the PS3, so much more so than there is a Sony conspiracy to slander the Xbox.
It's hard to impress me, but you're so naive, you might just do it.
On-topic: Funny how these threads usually have tons of Sony fanboys saying Microsoft deserves to get sued for sneezing, but when it's Sony getting sued, suddenly justice is served by dismissing the case. How very interesting...
