I'm sure a 500 unit test would be sufficient for you if it showed the failure rate going up...
Statistically speaking, a 500 unit test is plenty valid.
@ASSASSYN 36o: Don't these casual surveys usually bias toward failure? Isn't everyone looking for a chance to stick it to Microsoft? For all I know, this could be the first valid study, while everything else has been an internet poll...
If the game looks like the episode from Halo Legends that went live today (and today only, if you want to see it), it will be awesome. Kinda like a cross between Project Sylpheed and No More Heroes...
@pixelsword: Not so sure filling up the disk with 1080p, pre-render is a wise use of the space. I'll take in-engine cutscenes any day.
If that comes with $10 in Microsoft Points, then I'd pay it. I have always said that if Microsoft wants to move more people online and drive more MSP sales, they need to tie the two together.
Everyone knows it won't be a simple price hike without a good reason. Unless of course you don't already see the value in paying $50 a year (see Microsoft banning MW2 cheaters articles).
@UnwanteDreamz:
At the same time, why are people complaining that Microsoft is taking steps to control an issue that isn't even their fault? I call that proactive support. This is their service, and this is what they do to earn the $50 a year the respectable players pay. With PSN, people would just go make a new account rather than suffer the consequences.
Seriously, when it comes to Microsoft, people can be the most ungrateful sods.
Wow, people are horribly ignorant here. First, it's not a "ban" ban. It's a 24 hour suspension. And after that if you do it again, it's a 2 week suspension. If this were an outright ban... I would still support it, but a suspension fits the crime much better. I wouldn't call this hacking or cheating as much as I would call it griefing, and that, my friends, requires a swift suspension of your nuts on my foot.
You can take your "the game I bought, I plays it th...
Woah... I was prepared to admit the shots look virtually identical. But if you look at the colors in that one dude's facial hair, you can really tell a difference.
I'm calling it for Xbox on THAT particular shot, but the rest look indistinguishable, especially in motion.
I am playing games.
I'm just trying to deflate people's inflated expectations. I want this game to do well, because I feel Cage blends storytelling and gameplay better than most. And for this game to do well, I'm hoping people will have realistic expectations.
I'm looking forward to this as a Cage fan, but I think there's a considerable amount of delusion as to this games influence on the market at large. This won't be a system seller. It doesn't fit the profile of a system seller.
No really. I know some of you are so heavily invested in this game, but step back and tell me honestly that an interactive movie is really going to make a huge difference. Look at Indigo Prophesy. Did that game make as huge a splash as everyone is predi...
A 24 hour ban, with a 2 week ban following. The punishment fits the crime...
Except on the 360, it's estimated to take between 50 hours and 10 minutes to 60 hours and 10 minutes, if you count the disk swapping...
I'm not sure this a "boost" for PS3 over the 360 as much as it is a victory for Blu-ray over... time. The consumers should be the ones happy. Now they can get their DVD's and upgrade to Blu-ray later, or get their Blu-ray now and lend the same disk to their DVD brethren.
I don't get why some people want to make this a divisive issue...
It wasn't exactly soulless... it just stole the soul from a much better game: Far Cry.
@S4NDM4N: When the enemies can see you through dense brush long before you can see them... it's kinda hard to play it "as intended".
The way I tried playing it was with cheats. Much more enjoyable... but no less tedious.
Not so sure Far Cry 2 was so critically acclaimed. It wasn't a Far Cry, so to speak. It was just a sorta awkward sandbox... with malaria.
Yeah, it was a nice experiment, but the time has come to end it and go back to biz-as-uze.
There is something wrong with you. :-)
It's great fun, and the new design on the maps is great. Plus, throwing knives... one of the best additions to gameplay ever. Throwing knives with Scavenger makes you one hell of a Carney.
"first you cant get one to work for more than a few months"
That's a blatant lie.
Please, enough with the smear campaign already.
Look, I can see things either way. This is Microsoft's platform in a platform-mediated market. It is "technically" their right to control their platform.
But I don't see that Microsoft really controlled it well enough initially to deny Datel their chance to sell their product. They threw up barriers, legal ones I might add, but they didn't do that well enough. And now they have an actual established competition for memory cards. And an effort to shut out a legal co...
Why do people keep holding UC2 up as the new benchmark? I saw nothing photo-realistic. It looks good, same as any other random hyped PS3 game, but if you want to say photo-realistic, you suddenly opened up a whole new world of critical analysis.
Want to look back at what has been called photo realistic in the past? Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Half-Life 2. Gears of War. Oblivion. Looking back, don't those statements look silly now? What do you think we will say in hindsig...
Ok then. I propose we start doing in the d*ckwad way: You can't play it on PS3. It's a PS3 ExcludED.
@Hoggy: That phrase you keep using... Intellectual Property... I'm not sure you know what it means...
