Honestly, Infamous is high on my list of top games for this year. It was completely engaging for me. So, whatever development gripes they had... just think of what they might have improved... or even done worse had things gone according to plan.
I don't think anyone is disputing that the storage space is worth the price. But what do you tell people who already have a stack of Memory Sticks and UMD's? PSPGo is NOT supposed to be an upgrade for current users. It's a new entry point for people who don't have a PSP yet.
And in that... I would question if there is a market. Don't get me wrong, I love my PSP. I'm playing the crap out of the new Soul Calibur right now. But I would guess that most people who were going to ...
Respectfully speaking... why don't you move to a less oppressive country? It's insane that a country would cut down the rights of normal adults to accommodate a scant handful of troubled teenagers.
If you get anything from Indie Games, get Kodu. Trust me... endless hours of low-stress coding and fun.
Or Avatar Drop. Rag doll Avatars in a fun little mini game... more than worth your money.
Funny how I hear these Sony-positive stories only from N4G. Oh, that's right... it's "teh conzpiraziez"...
I would hardly call that lazy. And I would hardly call the graphics that important... enough so to warrant this discussion at least.
A game like Heavy Rain? Sure, bring on the graphics. I'm watching an interactive movie, so it might as well look good. But a game where you are driving a car? Honestly, I think people should worry about how it feels before they worry about how it looks.
It's funny how these arguments are usually between people who suck at sim-racing games. Which is why I'm picking Forza-anything over GT-anything. Forza has always been much more accessible to me. And accessible means fun. I could never describe any GT game as "fun".
I'll give GT5 a fair shot when it comes out, but it has to be at least as accessible as Forza 3.
I have no doubt U2 will do very well. 2.5 mil over lifetime is quite reasonable. Even surpassing that.
But what is with people saying what a game "deserves" to sell? Some of the numbers you are spouting are ridiculous. I'll entertain a discussion of deserving review scores, but sales are what they are. You don't deserve sales... you earn them. If this sells 2.5 mil in the first 24 hours, hey good for them. I know a casually-playing hardcore gamer who doesn't hang...
...that's right. All we need to go with our impossible superlative is a side salad of cliche.
This is the kind of advertising and hyping that gets games in trouble. With the time GT5 has left, they need to focus on making the game accessible to everyone, the way Forza 3 has. Otherwise, they won't have an excuse when people call Forza 3 fun and GT5 an exercise in masochism... you know, the way I usually regard sim racing.
The ball is in GT5's court, and there is st...
Culdcept Saga.
No kidding. It ate Eye of Judgment's lunch for me. And it was a lot cheaper than wasting money on cards/printing my own fakes.
@Tinted Eyes: That's because the mods are doing their job :-) I grant N4G mods 200 Faith-In-Humanity points...
For the PS3 fans who are giving Forza 3 a chance, I applaud you. In the same way, I hope the 360 fans give GT5 a fair chance.
For me to give GT5 a fair chance, it's going to have to be AT LEAST as accessible as Forza 3 is. I hate simracing, but the assists make it palatable for me.
Now, see... there is a constructive suggestion. It's something that PSN could do that XBL couldn't/hasn't. Why do these threads have to be filled with religious fanatics rather than rational minds, like this one?
And if you could instantly upload those to Facebook... that would be a step beyond...
Wow. Lousy list.
Of all the things that Sony could do to improve, these are the 5 you choose? What about demos for EVERY downloadable game? What about cross-game chat? What about re-downloading video content without begging CS?
Agreed with below: What about backwards compatibility?
It's incredible how much fear the GT5 fanboys are expressing when they tear down Forza. I don't really care which game wins... I just want to see the GT5 fanboys get skewered for being sheep and defending a game simply for being the crown prince of the genre. Is Forza an affront to the monarchy, so to say?
The gimmicks weren't enough to save Fracture. ...cool gimmick that forced the rest of the game down a poor design path.
Oh, dear god....
It's sick if you are still hung up on that early-generation feeling of "The games suck, but it's a new generation, so I'll cut the games a break, even over-inflate them a little, you know, for the greater good of the industry". Would you believe that there are still people who defend Perfect Dark Zero on that kind of rationale? That's what this is like. Between Haze, Lair, and Killzone 2, the WORST delusions exist in the minds of the PS3 faithful, an...
There's always one clown that thinks Halo is a bad game...
Great. Another deluded hate-boy who can't handle the fact that Halo is a good game series. It didn't become popular because Microsoft is pumping subliminal advertising into our heads or they drugged the water supply. It's a blockbuster because the game is actually good. One of the reasons Halo is such a blockbuster is because the controls are spot on... exactly where KZ2 failed. If GG wants to make improvements for KZ3... stop being so stuck up about realism and make a fun game.
Right on. That decision point was just plain incredible writing. I'm not one to get absorbed into a story... in fact, I usually loathe "plot" because I see it as always at the expense of gameplay... but that one had an awesome impact.
I would even talk about the OTHER moral decision in that part of the game, the one that has direct consequences on the gameplay.
