Here's what scares... and worries me:

I honestly believe there are PS3 fans out there that are so hardcore that they will go out and buy a 360... perhaps thinking that this is a great chance to finally adopt 360... but the idea creeps into their mind that they can stress test their 360 and see if it fails.

It's a win-win for them. The 360 fails: they get their 15 seconds of internet fame and a free replacement from Microsoft. The 360 doesn't fai...

Funny thing about citing the new warranty as an indication of anything... you could spin it either way. Either Microsoft did not include a 3-yr extended warranty because they have more confidence in the hardware... or they could have included it to instill confidence in the consumer.

Either way, I observe the same bias that Alpha-Male sees. Everyone wants to ridicule the 360 because they are addicted to the snark-monster.

Sure... let's crap out a core game for a non-core peripheral and do damage to the franchise, so people will always look back and remember that one crappy Halo game for Kinect.

A crappy Halo game hurts everyone. Consumers, Microsoft, the industry at large...

A recall, as a knee jerk reaction, would have been disastrous for the 360... a killing blow, in fact. Aside from the public stigma, which the 360 already suffers, a mass recall would ensure the repair/replacement centers would be bogged down for months, leaving no one playing 360 or on Live. The critical mass of the 360 install base would vanish, support for the console would collapse, and the 360 would be worthless. But then, I'm sure there are people who would love to see that happen...

Look, many of us don't have the knowledge... or the time to take away from family or a job... or the patience to keep up with the nuances... or the cash in case something goes wrong... or the space in our home to dedicate to putting together a computer... or a hundred other reasons why we don't go build our own computers. I'm glad it works for you. It doesn't work for everyone... and that's not a problem because there are GREAT computers out there, pre-made and, as long ...

Yet another comparison that tries to gloss over issues and settle poorly on a measurement of "best". There are just too many soft factors for this to EVER be an objective measurement of "best", and it barely works as a comparison of price. Ultimately, if you have to pinch pennies... or even dollars, you're in the wrong hobby.

At this stage in the game, there is really one inexorable difference that drives me to adopt one console or the other (if not ...

Oh sh*t.

Anyone who calls Crackdown a GTA clone has no clue what they're talking about. It's more of a super hero game than a GTA clone.

I hate to spout the same line Bungie uses, but MC is supposed to be a "blank slate". But... come on... it's a space marine story in a desperate war with a vastly superior alien empire. Forget what the military thinks... I can imagine the entire human race is feeling a little dry about things.

This is kinda pathetic. Anyone who thinks this mod is worth anything other than boasting how much disposable income you have to wipe your butt with is fooling themselves. I would much rather spring for the 1TB HDD over the 64GB SSD for the same cost. Why would Sony gamers want to throw away a great plus over 360 (cheaper storage) for a few seconds of difference.

Honestly, this sounds like my brother. He overclocks EVERYTHING, spending more on cooling solutions than he spe...

They missed my #1 gripe: No slot loader. That... is inexcusable.

This talk of Kinect "integrated" into the console makes absolutely no sense. The sensor has to sit in front of the TV. Wouldn't it be horribly limiting to put it in the console itself?

Yes. 3D is a gimmick, by definition. Even in the theater.

I just saw Toy Story 3 and the movie exhibited a remarkable emotional range. It was a brilliant treatise on mortality and the afterlife.

And when it was over, I still had enough cash to get dinner at Taco Bell. 3D would have robbed me of that.

Free-market capitalism FTW!

And I choose to snub 3D for watering down our movies.

@Below: Now even our crap movies have something to draw people into the theater, bursting the 3D bubble even more quickly... I should probably thank them...

Huge disagree. I loathe this campaign. But I love my PSP.

I love Kevin Butler. The campaign is a stroke of marketing genius. It's a parody of arrogant Sony execs, and it allows Sony to maintain humility while still getting across the points that can be perceived as arrogant. And his E3 appearance was pure gold.

But Marcus is a troll... he's everything about Sony I hate. He's a machine designed to churn out more "PS-Triple" videos and HipHopGamer-style thuggin... and more N4G Sony shills. On top of that, it...

I have the dubious honor of having completed Bomberman Act Zero. If you ever want a nice chunk of gamerscore, the game isn't even that hard, despite the no-save, 99-level, one-hit-death reputation it has received!

If you aren't set for life by the end of the 20th round, you suck at life. There is a combination of weapons that makes you practically invincible and able to blanket the game area with an all encompassing, unavoidable hellfire that decimates all in your p...

In my case, I might get one in one of the other rooms of my house. But then again, I'll probably wait for the $199 version coming later this year.
