Ahem... I'm not sure where the claims of "Gen over" are coming from.

You didn't get ME1, and that means you don't get to carry over the data from a previous play. Since you PS3 fanboys are obsessed with the "superior version", that would be on 360.

Now can we please stop acting like children and get back to gaming?

I'm not a collector... except for a few prized pieces I could do without, so having a hard copy isn't important to me. A game is there to be played, so I don't really care how it finds it's way into my PC or console... as long as it does.

It's still plenty important to me to be able to redownload freely at any time. I'm fine with a digital future, as long as stupid licensing crap doesn't get in the way of actually playing the games.

That's a lot of supposition. It's also horribly ignroant of how business makes money.

And before any of you spout off that "I don't care how their business is doing", you like gaming right? Well, you should care...

Oh, I guess the Eye Toy (or Eye) can sense 3D now, something it could NOT previously do...

When did that change...?

Anyone who tells you the Eye Toy can do "anything" Kinect can do is at best willfully ignorant... and at worse a lying bastard.

I lost respect for Munn when they ran the "Best of" for her fan-servicey moments, and I realized she was eye candy with a journalism degree and asian genes... and nothing more. It's degrading. I prefer intelligent women to women who whore themselves out. They can impress me with their minds before trying to seduce me. Instead, she just acts like a clown. With breasts.

This line of comments is ridiculous. The majority of the comments are "ad hominem".... or rather "ad nationem"... and of zero value. The market is speaking and they are deciding what they want right now. You can bitch and complain... but the rubber has met the road.

This is what we call "denial".

But thankfully, there is also this thing we call "time" which continually gives everyone a chance to do better tomorrow. ...

You know the sad thing? One of these days, you will have an opportunity to sell a PS3 to a 360 fanboy... but you're going to lose them cause your just too goddamn smug about it, deserved or not.

It won't matter that the Cell has 7 parallel processing units, or that Blu-ray has 50 gigs of space, or that PSN is free. All that will matter is that for all your rattling off numbers, trademarks, and lists of exclusive games, you are still annoying as fuck.

I just got back from watching the World Cup finals... live... in a movie theater... in 3D ( http://www.fathomevents.com... ). And you know what? It was pretty sweet.

But by the time the game was over, I had a hard time discerning if it was still 3D unless I looked at the edge of the screen or saw a graphic on the screen. I would not want to spend that kind of money on a TV wit...

Now THAT is a douchey thing to say. And wrong.

I just bought an expensive TV in 2D. I could have waited a little longer and gotten a different TV for the same price and gotten 3D.

BUT... it would have been smaller, less clear, and wouldn't have had the features I wanted. I decided not to compromise all the features I wanted for the one feature everyone else is telling me to want.

The Wii is STILL a fad. It's a fad that hasn't run its course yet.

Any they won't make a 3D HDTV without glasses for a long time. The only reason it works on the DS3 is because 1) it's small, and 2) the distance from screen to eyes is a known.

A wise man once said "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Look, I'm surprised EITHER side of this argument has anything more than an pack upright drinking straws to stand on.

But especially liked this little quote: "most of the 360 slim owners are already have 360s"

Do you have any evidence that that's the case? Or that PS3 owners weren't buying up PS3 Slims any more than 360 owners were buying 360-...

Once again, I have to preface this with the fact that I'll support Move as a gamer much more than I would support Kinect.

But as a business person, Kinect has the glitz that the public will love.

However, this indicates that Kinect is losing ground to the Move... and in some ways, this makes me feel much better.

"If you’re not prepared to sit through 25 hours of linear corridors before getting to the good stuff then you have no right to call yourself a gamer."

Did they really just say that? I should waste 25 hours on a game that I could spend playing a good game just to get to the good game in FF13? In what dimension does that make sense? I'm not "hardcore" enough for it?

FF13... is very fairly hated on, if only for the inclusion of someth...

Huge agree on KZ2.

I love how PS3 fanboys like to point to 360 fanboy's defense of things like the RROD... but then defend the horrible controls of KZ2 with "it's supposed to be laggy... it makes the game better".

@below: No, you don't comprehend. I do NOT play games for realism. Why would I want realism in anything but graphics? The games I play are unrealistic and fun, not an exercise in restraint and frustration based on some misg...

Sony, on things like Blu-ray and 3D, is in a MUCH better position to lead. Sony knows hardware. When it comes to software, that's Microsoft's domain, but where Microsoft is hurting the most... they underestimated how important hardware competency is to the game industry.

I've always said that Microsoft and Sony were two sides of the same coin in the game industry. If things had worked out differently, the "PlayBox" could have clobbered Nintendo.

Let's look at it this way: Sony is using their power as an end-to-end solution for things like 3D and Blu-ray to practically force these technologies on the market.

This isn't about Sony being better at predicting trends... it's Sony who is setting the trends and fulfilling their own prophesies.

See, I can do that too: I predict that when I finish typing this comment, I will have a need to click "Add Reply"... Let's see if my pred...

Look, there is a difference between "taking off" and "dragged off the runway towed by irrational exuberance".

To continue the aviation metaphor, 3D is hardly an aerodynamic value proposition. Between the glasses, the content, and the panel itself, a lead blimp has a better chance of taking off.

I know why companies are pushing 3D. It's obvious: they have no where else to go next. They have to keep pushing new tech and selling new T...

@Sikbeta: I dislike Sony because of shit they pulled, like David Manning the fake movie reviewer... that's some horribly unethical crap. But when I was shopping for a TV earlier this year, I spent plenty of time in a Sony store at a mall. Ultimately, I didn't buy them, but I did my due diligence and gave them a fair shot. Unfortunately, the model I wanted was way to expensive and I could get a better model from Samsung with fewer bullshit bullet-point features.
