The reaction of an Xbox leaning commentator says "Yes, GT5 is relevant. When wasn't it."
I'll tell you the one reason Microsoft is losing ground like this: They are falling behind in the snarky comments arms race.
That's right they took down the sign that said Marketing Department and put up a sign that said R&D.
Apple has been developing zingers that Microsoft just can't handle. Development of Microsoft's "I'm a PC" line of counter-snipes haven't had the same power that John Hodgman wields. All Apple'...
Why do you assume light or dark makes a difference? It's an infrared depth sensor with it's own emitter...
Now, the reasons you give for Move are the reasons it won't sell very well with the casual set. I keep saying, go watch someone try it at Best Buy. No really... don't play the "I don't work here but I can help you" card, but just watch them try it.
There is only one way to win. To not play Demon's Souls.
To really win, go play a better game.
Go to Best Buy and watch someone demo it. They ALL treat it like a Wii. They don't know they have to stand where the camera can see them. They don't understand that calibration is VERY important to this tech.
Granted, when it works, it works great. But when it's not being demoed by a booth attendant at a trade show with tech savvy people who have the slightest clue how shit works... and instead being demoed by the average dingbat without any assistance... you ...
@amiga-man: Now that's funny. Now you want to use public opinion from a heavily lopsided community as a barometer for truth.
If anything, bubbles on N4G are a measurement of a commentor's bias. Anything over 3 is reasonably balanced and anything under 3 is pro-Xbox. Anything five and above is a probably a PS fanboy.
I love the internet. It's like a centrifuge for all the world's stupidity and ignorance.
You do own "stock". It's called a platform mediated market. You buy the console and accessories, like the Move and Kinect, and hope that the market supports the platform with more software.
It's not that hard to understand.
There is no "smear campaign". Once again, another delusion in the mind of desperate fanboys.
The bare bones truth of the situation is this: Move is a great technology. But it has it's significant flaws that make it not quite ready for primetime... or even, too late on the scene.
1. Nintendo did this all before, poorly I'll admit, but it's no longer "new". Had Sony beat them to the punch with Move, Sony would have clobbered...
I was less enthused, but my wife is all over it.
Kinect has a lot of potential, but it's up to the developers to harness it or squander it.
I've got a huge backlog of 360 games to play, and a handful of PS3 games, most of which I'll never touch again.
I suppose this issue spins either way. Just like everything else.
OR... Games4M - Rob could illustrate the difference between puerile infants and adults and make your point very well...
Maybe this dude should have taken a practice run first.
Perhaps Kinect can clear the runway and you can use Move to land a plane...
I thought MAG was good but I didn't find it especially compelling. It probably had a lot to do with my disdain for the dualshock for FPS.
Maybe I'll try it with Move later on.
Ahem....
Compare FF13 on PS3 and 360. There is a game that was lead-dev'ed on PS3, and it shows.
Too bad it played like a soft turd.
DaTruth is skewed.
Half of what you said made no sense. What does "uncompressed code" mean? It's frickin code! And all the cutscenes are done in engine, which this article shows runs MUCH better on 360.
You're worse than a troll.
Look... we are never going to get a constructive argument if each side keeps spewing the same shallow dogma and snark.
Quite simply, none of you on either side are willing to give up petty arguments and start discussing like adults.
Maybe I'm expecting too much of you...
Yes. Especially when I use a PS3 to 360 controller converter (or vice versa) and I can't switch R1 and R2.
In general, I wish game designers would just trust the gamer a bit more with these kinds of things.
It's OK if you don't get it. Just don't take that to mean "Gaylo sucks".
Same way I hate Starcraft, but I recognize it as a good game.
Dude... whats with that set?
