That's a pretty insightful and concise article right there. God, and to think that I remember damn near all of those mis-steps... right down to even purchasing a Virtual Boy of my very own. Here's to hoping Nintendo has learned their lesson. They seem to be swallowing their pride for the time being, and that humility has been well received. Keep up the good work, Nintendo!
Oh wow, those are some sexy, sexy images. Here's to hoping that the gameplay equally surpasses par.
"there is no way in hell this game will be on the wii, it's far too realistic."
Are you trying to tell people that the Wii cannot play FMVs? You do realize that you were watching a movie, and not the game, right?
For Chacron:

Ninja Gaiden 2 was a great game. I still liked the third game the best, though.
For Deepbrown:
My personal tastes for traveling entertainment involve the DS, books, and a deck of playing cards. Again, for me it is something to assist in passing the time when I would be otherwise twiddling my thumbs...
For every person who could answer this question, you're going to get a different response. Whilst you like sitting on your sofa with your big TV, some people enjoy louging on their sofa and playing on their DS or PSP.
My wife and I have very different views about our DS. Me, I think of it as something to use when you travel. If I'm going to be away from home for a while, then I usually have the DS with me. It helps to pass the time during long periods of waiting. For me, the en...
Mate, if you deal with people like The Mart and Power of Green all the time, and you still react like this, then I believe you might be exaggerating your claims. There should be no reason for the childish rant you went on, regardless of how childish others may act towards you.
It's obvious that these guys had no point to their own comments - you didn't need to go and embarrass yourself for their sake.
Not that I don't think that Home is a neat idea and all, but why not just walk to or ride your bike to or drive your car to a regular Best Buy or Wal*Mart? What would the fantastic difference be that makes their appearence in Home interesting?
When I clicked on the "Devil May Cry 4" section of N4G.com, it brought me solely to the red PS3 page. Looks like it's time to splash some green on there, N4G.com mods!
I think I'm giong to be spending the entire day at various gaming forums and pointing out that Oblivion was never an X-Box 360 exclusive, having been game having been released for the console beside the PC version.
I'm pretty sure the Halo on DS bit was meant to be sarcastic, mate, and not to be even remotely taken seriously.
Oh for the love of God, yes! I would love to see more Adventure Company games for the Wii... or just more classic adventure games to begin with! The genrally benign "point and click" interface for those games makes them perfect for the Wii.
As for porting "And Then There Were None", that's probably a good idea. There were certain aspects about the game that I didn't like (such as changing the 10 Little Indian Boys from the rhyme into sailors... which is a si...
$100 at a garage sale. Came with a free loveseat, too.
You do realize what "graphics style" means, don't you? In that game creators tailor their games graphics to fit with the overall style of their game?
Those graphics look absolutely fine, if not better than the cel-shading in Wind Waker. In fact, these particular graphics immediately reminded me of Eternal Sonata for the 360.
It all depends on preference, but I can't understand people who immediately claim that a game looks bad because it is not attempti...
Christ, now great adventure games are moving to multiplayer? What's left for single player game purists to enjoy now? Even Bethesda's talking about implimenting multiplayer into their next Elder Scrolls game. I know it's not popular to say, but dammit, we need more good single player games!
For me, Final Fantasy is symbolic of the Famicom and Super Famicom. :p
How do you get "PS3 exclusive" from "...hitting the next gen consoles..."? If anything it means that Sony lost their exclusivity with Katamary, since the rumor is it is coming out for the PS3, X-Box 360 and the Wii.
Could this get any more distant? This is a N4g post linking to a PS3 Fanboy post linking to a Joystiq post, linking to Orange Lounge Studio.
For the curious, if you read the post at Orange Lounge Studio you'll find this full post:
"Namco has announced to retailers the arrival of the hit series onto the next-gen platforms. BEAUTIFUL KATAMARI is set to release on October 17th for $39.99 on the PS3 and XBOX 360 and will feature SIXAXIS support for the PS3 versi...
Well that looks wild. I guess intriguing would be a good word for it, yes.
Well that looks wild. I guess intriguing would be a good word for it, yes.
I think that every point made in that article had little to do with the media, and more about public image. The consumers hated the Virtual Boy, the consumers hated the censorship, the consumers hated the Friend Codes, the consumers hated the N64 cartridges... and so on and so forth.
Listen mate, one of the concepts about enjoying something... anything, even a brand name, is enjoying it for better and for worse. The good and the bad. You can't turn a blind eye to Nintendo's mis...
