ITR, you have some pretty strong faith in HD, mate.
Me, I can't think of any reason to spend more than $300 on a television, and aside from one gluttonous man, my co-workers and friends share the same thought process.
Now of course this is just one person and his cadre of friends and co-workers, but I would be surprised if my method of thought wasn't shared with the majority of Americans.
Don't get me wrong, I think the whole high definition thing ...
Might I direct you to the following concept, sir.

I'll be buying a 360 soon, to add alongside my Wii, since I can't really see the PS3 offering me anything that the 360 and Wii can't do. If I want the "Home" deal, then I'll hang out with real friends. I have no interest in HD movies at this time, so the Blu-Ray trojan horse doesn't appeal to me. The Wii has seen plenty of fun with its motion sensing controls, so I don't need Sony's ripoff. The gaming power provided with both the PS3 and X-Box 360 are practically so identical that t...
Stay away from that "True ____" drivel, mate. That's just sure to piss people off, no matter what your stance is.
A gamer is a gamer is a gamer, whether the gamer plays PS3, X-Box 360, Wii, Sega Saturn, NES, PC games, or the Atari 2600. The gamer simply enjoys playing games. The fanboy enjoys playing games from a particular company. The concept of a "True Gamer" is assinine.
Take it where you can get it, at least.
Though I guess you could just defer to the recent article about the console's popularity on websearches, when juxtaposed against the 360 and the Wii.
I fear for Japan's economy when this game comes out.
Whoever the heck says those graphics are bad need to get either their eyes checked, or the stick out of their ass. That was beautiful.
...Maximals, MAXIMIZE!
So I'm obviously buying the Autobots version. :p
Even if the article was poorly translated, I still don't think that a $200 Blu Ray player would benefit Sony. At the very least it wouldn't benefit the PS3. It seems like there were, and remain, many people who purchased the PS3 simply because of the Trojan Horse that is Blu Ray - it's the cheapest high def video player on the block. I would anticipate a drop in PS3 sales once a vastly less expensive player comes onto the market.
But hey, I've been wrong before.
...
I can't believe that we're even talking about the POSSIBILITY of removing physical sales of games.
That's just a scary and disgusting thought.
I know, man. The Power Glove was so 5 generations ago.
While I think that you make a valid statement, I'm inclined to disagree. Obviously the intent isn't to make people look bad playing games - the intent is to provide new ways to enjoy the games that we play. They are not content with believing that standard controllers can provide the most fun. That's where the Power Glove and U-Force came from, and the Eye Toy and the DS touch screen, and so much more.
Besides, I, for one, don't understand how one can "look bad" while...
Sweet, a Power Glove 2.0. I'm glad that I never got rid of mine. I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.
I can't really see what more the devs could do with Manhunt 2 for the 360 or PS3 aside from make it longer and make it prettier. The statement that is being asked is "Just think of what they can do with Manhunt on the Wii."
I don't think any of that stuff was on the DVD. It's all completely new.
Thus, I think this is pretty damn cool. :)
Shouldn't this also be in the DS section as well? ^_^
Unfortunately the aim of improving controls and graphics over PS2 games that port to the Wii will probably be more miss than hit, seeing as how it looks like the only games claiming such an improvement have been The Godfather, Tiger Woods 2007, and Madden 2007.
Hopefully developers will wisen up sooner than later and see that movement controlls with the Wii remote do not add to the game, but simply replace. If they want a port to do well, then there needs to be more added.
Christ, you give evolution a bad name. Ease off the Caps Lock, mate, and research punctuation.
I think that there's a really fine line that Nintendo is trying hard not to cross, in the gaming for everyone mantra. It's difficult as hell, because while we have people like you who would like an increase in online play and media storage and whatnot, there are people like me who could care less about playing against other people online and who don't like to download games. It's not that you're right and I'm wrong or anything of the sort, it's just that they're trying to pander to everyone.....
Good Lord, do you realize how incompetent you sound? I mean, power to you for enjoying the things that you and enjoy and all that, and certainly other people both share and disagree with your opinions, but, Christ, ease off the exclamation mark or something.
