After reading the article and all, to be fair, if I was Mr. Wright and found out about this, I'd be a bit worried about this kid. Maybe it's because I'm also an instructor, I don't know. But it's one thing to create your own medium in which to vent some anger at persons you don't like. (Naming soon to be dead video game characters after said person, putting the person into a story, etc.), but it's another to share that with other people. Then you have people, like right now, deliberating over...
Women have been asking that question since the beginning of civilization.
Don't pull that "Only In America" knee-jerk reaction. Plenty of other countries go through this disturbing stuff. Take a look at Korea, for instance.
What's the joke, might I ask? And if there is one, what is the punchline?
Isn't the very definition of "co-op" "cooperation", as in, one person helping out another? Thus how is this not "really" co-op? o_O
Do not forget that a game being exclusive to a console is not good for the sales of that game, though it IS good for the sales of that console. I can't imagine the number of people who refuse to buy this game simply because it is no longer a PS3 exclusive outweighs the number of sales the game will get on the Xbox 360.
Just as Final Fantasy was on the Famicom/NES, along with the original two Metal Gear games, and Dragon Warrior/Quest, and how Sonic was only to be found on Sega consoles... Times change, mate, and companies and their games have to change with it.
Thanks for the nice talk, Logan. Since I've the ability to do so, I shall make a quick reply about your new statements.
I think you are correct in that the Wii will most likely not be able to last too long in this generation, due to the comparative inferiority of it's processing power when compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
I will get back to that thought in a moment, but first I want to address your comment about graphics being important in today's society. I thi...
Yes, obviously our views differ, but it's good to at least discuss it. :)
As to your proposal, however, I don't think I can effectively answer that because it is highly unrealistic. The price of creating a Wii is low enough to where $250 turns over a nice profit to Nintendo. The price of creating a PS3 is so high in that even at $500 Sony is losing money.
The pricing, while highly important mind you, is not the be-all, end-all of an item's success in the market. ...
I happened to be your third disagree there, and I shall tell you why. For every person that wasn't excited by the Wii, there seems, seems mind you, to have been two others who were. Naturally those who consider themselves 'hardcore' gamers, whatever that happens to mean, were not as entranced by the Wii because it was not marketed towards them. 'Hardcore' was overshadowed by 'Casual'.
Personally, I can't tell you if I'm a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer. I like video games. I ...
djt23,
English, mate, do you speak it?
I am highly tempted to give Swatjr another bubble, just so I can laugh at more of his posts.
Tsalagi,
While I am also curious about that disagree, do those 'agree' and 'disagree's even count for anything on this site? I mean, I thought they were there just for a simple "I think you're right", "I think you're wrong" decision, without actually commenting about it.
Nintendo DS Lite - 141,967
PSP - 37,578
I'm curious to know how you got 30,000, mate. Or am I misunderstanding your statement?
Pandora's Box is one of the most well known - and subsequently, overused - "chaos myths" in existence. In and of itself it is a legend... So then exactly what is wrong with combining the two elements of the myth into "Legendary: The Box"?
I actually find this post to be quite hilarious. I mean, it's paranoid and full of nonsense, but quite hilarious all the same.
I don't know about Nintendo "winning" anything... It's kind of an arbitrary and pointless argument to begin with.
But personally, my interest is piqued for the Wii Fit game. I think it's a great idea that is sure to attract many gamers, casual and hardcore alike.
Hell, the only time that I exercise is when I'm jumping around on DDR or strumming furiously to Guitar Hero. Those games are actually a part of my exercise regime, because they're games and the...
How is $50 a lot? I'm assuming that, as a Game Of The Year Edition, the game will be the original Oblivion, preset with Nights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, and possibly the other DLC. That's worth far more than $50 right there, so you'd be getting a good bargain!
While I certainly understand and agree with your stance that changing the PS2 like this isn't going to create or help any PS2 vs. Wii competition, I "Disagreed" with you because I can barely understand what you're trying to type out. Just because you have an icon of Ali G doesn't mean you have to emulate his level of intelligence.
A next generation game is a game that will be sold in the NEXT generation of consoles, whenever that will be. Is it really that difficult to understand?
Oooooh, I get it, this is the slang definition of the term "next gen". I thought we were already over that.
