So they were wondering how to make the game even more boring after the tunnel-fest that was FF13, so now it basically has the control scheme of Flappy Bird.
If you were able to harness the stupidity of Squeenix' s management into usable energy, we'd have space colonies by now.
Considering how lacking in features Titanfall is, I think Sony made the right call. Sony's got loads of F2P and exclusive titles on both PS3 and PS4 that have WAY more features than Titanfall, not to mention that Titanfall is not a next-gen game at all. It's a game made on an engine almost a decade old, with a measly player count, bot-based and only upscaled on XB1. If Titanfall really were the next-gen experience EA and Microsoft trumpeted it to be, it wouldn't be able to run on ...
If I were Sony, I would have used that money to buy Eidos out of Squeenix's hands. That studio js being wasted under Squeenix's god-awful management.
EDIT: Btw, that's BILLION yen, not million. 4.8 billion yen is roughly 48 million dollars. 4.8 million yen can barely buy an SUV. And when all is said and done, that's actually not that much money compared to some of the amounts both Sony and other companies have thrown around. Squeenix's stocks must be garb...
You know, something interesting is happening with both COD and Activision as a whole: they've become able to make fun of themselves, and it's actually sort of improving their image. I'm not gonna pick up Ghosts now that Snoop Dogg's doing voiceover, don't get me wrong, but the new silly features coming out for the game have made it kind of funny and endearing, like they know the series has become a punchline so they've decided to run with it. Activision itself hasn'...
Jim hit it right on the head with this one, and the funny thing is that, while the example of those three games is a Western-centered one, other regions have the same phenomenon. For example, EVERYONE in Japan wants to make Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter or Pokemon, and any creators who try to make more classic games or even original franchises get pushed to the side on the excuse that it's not profitable. We need only see the massive exodus in talent from Squeenix, Capcom and Konami. Koji...
This is exciting news. If this is the kind of thing we can expect with future VR projects, there might be hope yet that it can triumph as a consumer product. I'd get this day one myself. Imagine a space documentary narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, or an episode of Mythbusters in which you witness an explosion first hand! Or Top Gear! Man vs Wild! The possibilities are many and exciting.
The fact that we're STILL asking about the importance of graphics proves that they ARE important, or at least relevant and significant. The fact is that, barring massive jumps between generations like a new storage format or control element(like analog sticks), graphics are usually the benchmark for generation leaps.
And it's not only because "gaems look purdier", it's because better graphics lead to more immersion and better storytelling. Of course, not...
If anyone can make this work, it's him. He's a legend.
The Asian Donald Love.
@TH3BR3W That's actually the Moro Islamic Liberation Front's acronym. TYhey actually use it themselves, no bullshit, lol.
I don't mind the game being previous-gen at all. The Borderlands series already has a huge userbase there, it makes sense to go for the bigger demographic. It's still real early in the new-gen, so Borderlands 3 can wait a year or two to make its debut, when more people have done the jump.
Also, I respect companies who are willing to support a console after the newest generation has come out, and many a console's greatest games come at the tail-end of it. Take the ...
The scary part is that he was gun-running with Islamic terrorists, specifically the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in the Philippines. And he not only advocated against video games, he also advocated for gun control. Basically, he legislated against guns while selling them illegally under the table and obtaining them from extremist groups. He's not only corrupt hypocritical scum, he's TRAITOROUS corrupt hypocritical scum.
@Godmars290 Exactly the point. People may complain about having to pay for PS+ now with the PS4, but any subscription service independent of the Sony(Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Instant) is not behind the paywall of PS+ and is accessible from Sony consoles whther you pay for premium or not.
Hell, I'd like to point out that for the price of the XB1, you can get both Amazon's new box AND the PS4.
I always cringe when Sephiroth is placed in first place, considering he's ABSENT FOR MOST OF THE FRIGGIN' GAME. Rufus Shinra is MUCH more the real villain of FFVII than Sephiroth. And Kefka's WAY more of a villain than both of them.
And there's TONS of villains that should have made the list over many of the ones there. Guys like Joseph Bertrand from inFamous 2, Colonel Radec from Killzone, Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2, the Illusive Man from Mass Effect, Z...
Holy crap, Grandia! That's a name I haven't heard in years! I loved that series! 3 was kinda meh, but 1 and 2 are two of the greatest RPGs ever.
Street Fighter fans are disappointed at the lack of love the franchise is getting lately, what with the recycled characters and no new gen port of USF4, Megaman fans are DEFINITELY disappointed with how Capcom basically killed the franchise, Resident Evil has beel lackluster for years, all their greatest talent(Keiji Inafune, Hideki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami, Atsushi Inaba) has jumped ship... Capcom might very well be headed in the same direction as THQ, if things continue the way they are. Konam...
More than hardware or policies, it's lack of leadership that has doomed MS to second place this early in the new gen. Spencer is a good choice to fill that void in leadership, but he really has his work cut out for him.
If Squeenix really had "dialog with customers", they wouldn't be mishandling Eidos so terribly. Its their most talented division, constantly making critically acclaimed AAA games(Just Cause, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex) and they're constantly holding funding on them and doing layoffs while trying to make ANOTHER Final Fantasy game happen. Oh, and don't get me started on the Enix side of things, what have THEY done in the last five years that is anything memorable? I remember wh...
So it's gonna be an open-world RPG that's gonna be competing with The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Lol, yeah, good luck.
A lot of the GS experience depends on employees and managers. A GS store with smart employees and managers willing to solve issues is a great place to shop. My local GS is like that, and you never see the employees asking me about the pre-orders or that other nonsense because they know I'm a valuable and loyal employee. Hell, I had to return an already opened game cause my bro had gotten it for me digital without me knowing, and the manager just took it back and gave me a full refund. Tha...
