Steam Sale and Humble Bundle say hello.
Pffft, no. I don't see why the business model will change in such a drastic way when the industry has slowly been building up to being the most lucrative entertainment business on the planet. Games are hot and will remain hot, and gaming is an industry that feeds itself well. Gamer parents will have gamer children. Not to mention that gaming is the entertainment medium that people of our generation call its own, which means momentum and time are on our side. No one under the age of 40 thi...
I'm expecting the vibrating Fleshlight add-on to be available very soon.
About time, it only took him 4 years to admit Fable 3 was garbage.
Price drops in a console's regular lifecycle happen because of two reasons: the initial rush for the system's sales has subsided and the price is dropped to reignite sales; and there's a new, cheaper SKU of the system that can be sold for less price at similar profit. Pretty much every modern gaming console has followed this pattern, and the first price drop tends to happen about a year into the console's lifecycle.
This is NOT the case with the XB1. MS is in ...
If I worked for a company like Atlus, Sega or XSeed, I'd have a smile I could fit a banana sideways into. I see Japanese companies flocking to the PS4 over the Wii-U and barely touching the XB1, so we could very well be looking at a Japanese gaming renaissance on the system. If localization companies step up, we'll probably see a huge influx of Japanese games on the PS4. The "PS4 haz no gamez" excuse will fly right out the window. And if the rumors are true, then the announc...
Very well thought list. If there's one thing that can get gleaned out of it is that Sony learned MUCH more from the last generation than Microsoft did, both hardwarewise and businesswise. They just have a much more attractive package overall.
Cliffy B apparently missed out on six generations worth of games, because if Oculus Rift really is the biggest deal since Atari 2600, this industry has been total crap for over three decades. I hate how this guy just talks like he's a friggin' authority on the industry when he's basically stuff to safe fanboy fare for over a decade. By saying this, he's basically taking a dump over hundreds of other creators who have brought so much to the industry.
I could me...
This seems to me like a shinier, more serious Borderlands... and that is exactly my cup of tea. I still sink playtime into Borderlands 2 to this day, and if Destiny offers me even half of what BL2 does, it'll be a day 1 purchase for me. I'm glad to see Bungie stretching their muscles after being under Microsoft's thumb for so long.
Ummm...

SLAM DUNK!!!
DMC definitely was overreacted to, since the fanboys were nitpicking stupid details while ignoring the fact that the game itself was actually pretty damn good. FF13, however, deserves all the heat it gets, that game is horrid. The excuse that it "gets better" after 25 hours of gameplay does not justify having to go through 25 hours of vapid characters, tedious gameplay with no exploration and a leveling and fighting system that basically makes the game play itself.

Spectacular comment, I salute you, sir.
Here's another factor to consider: PS3 owners are currently the biggest market for Playstation Plus, and will also be the biggest market for PS Now for a while, so Microsoft offering the trade is probably a way for them to lower the userbase for Sony's online services. Underhanded, to be sure.
The placement of those face buttons is friggin' terrible, and adding face buttons on the left side will be a nightmare. No one(not even PC gamers who rarely use controllers) will find that arrangement comfortable. I understand wanting to innovate new technology, but you shouldn't try to reinvent the wheel, especially when it comes to controller schemes that have literal decades of proven use. It's a much easier jump for a player to go from keyboard and mouse to dual analog sticks ...
Celes's story with Cid and getting the team back together after Kefka destroys the world is one of the most dramatic stories in the FF saga as a whole. Oh, and FF6 has my absolute favorite FF character ever: SABIN. Mutherfucker suplexed a train!
Um, wouldn't it make more sense to compare Battlefield 4 to Battlefield 1942, which came out at almost the same time as MGS2 and is, you know, IN THE SAME SERIES?
And the graphical impact that MGS2 made back when it came out is LEAPS AND BOUNDS over the one Battlefield 4 is making today. Battlefield 4 is just a prettier extension over the previous game. MGS2 was a "holy crap!" moment in both graphical quality and its ability to tell a story. Hell, every MGS game...
Not only will TESO not be a WoW killer, I think the MMO bubble basically burst. WoW dominated the genre for so long that WoW fatigue is basically synonymous with MMO fatigue. There's many genres that offer a similar experience to MMOs without being such a huge time sink or requiring a subscription, and I'm positive gamers in this new generation are going to be VERY demanding of quality for their money.
Dude, that comment is bullshit. He has a very powerful rig that he's invested time and money in to play the game as optimally as possible and yet it still runs like crap because of serverside issues. As a paying customer who's done everything to give the game the best chance possible at running at optimal capacity, he has every right to complain.
And what's this, we console gamers are supposed to suck it up when a game experience is subpar? What the hell's wro...
@NewAgeisHere Playstation+ Instant Game Colection says hello.
