Agreed. Plus, the sexual content in Bayonetta is quite tame compared to, say, Senran Kagura or Oneechanbara, and it's nowhere near as blatant as Dead Or Alive.

One of Superman's big weaknesses is magic, though, so Bayonetta could wreck him pretty badly. Literally every single attack Bayonetta threw his way, no matter how puny, would hurt him. Even purely physical attacks, since her weapons are of demonic origin.

And like I said, punched god. That's kinda hard to top. You'd have to suplex god or make him tap to an armbar to beat that shit.

So you're accusing Shadow of Mordor for being generic, yet you're looking forward to Call of Duty and Dragon Age and you shit on SOM and Bayonetta 2. Huh.

The thing is that Bayonetta is sexy and sexualized, but she's not SEXUAL. She does the suggestive, eye-candy thing, but at no moment does she make actual advances, and her character arc is NEVER derailed by any kind of romantic subplot. Luka, who in any other game would be the guy the heroine would be pining for, is merely an amusing, harmless diversion for her. This is a game that passes the Bechdel Test.

And saying Bayonetta's strong is a MASSIVE understatement: she...

I love the clickbait header image they used for the article. I bet half the people were about to blast it for Megaman being there, while the article actually refers to clone characters.

I agree wholeheartedly on Catherine. Anyone who's played the game for any length of time can tell you that Catherine's hypersexuality is NOT portrayed as fan service, but more as sexual predation and horror. It's a game where the main character, who is a man, is REPEATEDLY RAPED, and the woman doing it is trapping him in a cycle of destruction while distancing him from his true love, a woman who is attractive but not sexualized and is responsible, hardworking and truly good relati...

I thought Capcom wasn't able to crap on their games any more than they've already had, and I was right. Now they're looking for outside help to do it.

First of all, this is a game that forces you to fight intelligently and cut your losses when things get too tough. People expect to play this game like Assassin's Creed or Batman when they should be playing it like a Souls game: slowly, meticulously, with planning and managing resources. If you take the time to kill foot soldiers to deprive captains of reinforcements and you take advantage of their weaknesses, it's not that hard, and the captains that ARE challenging become that much ...

"Spelunky looks like a poor man's Mario Bros. 2"

Spelunky is a game whose challenge gives DARK SOULS a run for its money, you know not what you speaketh.

I'm thinking the AAA titles will start next month, with the PS4's one year anniversary. Don't know about Black Flag, but Injustice, Knack and Killzone seem to me the more obvious choices.

We had Arkham City and now Arkham Asylum. They should release Arham Origins at Christmas and we'd have all the Arkham games so far to binge on before the release of Arkham Knight.

Too bad it's not coming out in the US in the foreseeable future. Way to screw the faithful, Capcom.

My theory is that there's a Brewster's Millions scenario here, in which Capcom is forced to run the company to the ground in exchange of some larger sum of money further on. That's the only explanation for Capcom's bafflingly bad business practices. EA might be scumbaggy, money-hungry businessmen, but Capcom is just plain BAD management.

There have been various versions of Owlman, including one from the Earth-1 universe, who was introduced in the Court of Owls storyline.

I think this is a red herring, though, I'm still shooting for him being Jason Todd.

This is my most waited-for game this year. No franchise beats Borderlands in terms of sheer content, humor and fun factor, and The Pre-Sequel looks like it'll have particular focus on story. And an interesting story it is, since it's Handsome Jack's ascension to CEO of Hyperion and the ramifications of it, like why the Claptrap project line was scrapped, how Wilhelm and Nisha became Jack's enforcers and whatever happened to Athena after the General Knox DLC in the first game. ...

Considering that Destiny is supposed to be a 10-year project, Destiny 2 would be released in the next console generation, which would be the PS5 or the XBox Pi/Pythagoras Theorem/Square Root of Negative 1 or whatever they call it. If the XBox brand even lasts that long, cause at this rate, I see MS's investors pressuring to close the XBox division or selling the brand.

If these numbers are accurate, then holy crap, the gap between PS4 and XB1 is MASSIVE, bigger than I realized. Also, notice how the Destiny numbers are higher for 360 than PS3, that shows that many more gamers on the Sony side have taken the plunge with the PS4 than 360 gamers with the XB1.

There is no objective standard by which Final Fantasy 13 is good. The Japanese like it completely based on fanboy catering. The game is just a salad of cheap anime cliches and nonsensical story masquerading as deep and the Japanese fanboys eat it up. That fanboy catering is also the reason a character as thoroughly, reprehensibly sexist as Quiet in Metal Gear Solid 5 could exist.

Squeenix and Capcom being so high is proof of how incredibly gullible Japanese gamers are to the hype machines and how much they relax their standards of what good games are based on getting catered to in terms of fanboyism. Nintendo does deserve the top spot, though.
