The accusations of sexual harassment by female Tecmo employees, misogynistic comments in interviews and smack talking of other game creators much more talented than him are NOT "just a facade for the media". This guy is a genuine creep.
I couldn't even watch the video enough to see the game. The moment I saw that slimy bastard Itagaki, I had to turn it off. That guy seriously turns on my rape alarm.
It was about time they got another team to work on the game. It's absolutely shameful that it's been TEN YEARS since the last Team ICO game. That is MORE than enough time to crank out a game. I don't know what the flying hell Team ICO is doing, but they need to cit that sh*t out and get it together. This whole situation has been an embarrassment for Sony.
*fistbump*
With two free games every month with PS+, I am nowhere near done with my PS3 and probably won't be for a long time. And the PS4 is not backward compatible, so I'd lose a load of great games if I dropped the PS3.
Fallout Narrator: War... War never changes.
Solid Snake: War has changed.
Fallout Narrator: Go f*ck yourself.
So many moments, it's kinda hard to pick, but I'd have to go with the very beginning of the game: walking out of Vault 101 and covering the glare of the sun from your eyes only to see the wasteland for the first time.
Also, f*cking Liberty Prime.
There will always be a few bugs that slip through. Such a massively interactive open world will always have issues that slip by until thousands of gamers play the game at the same time and they get identified. However, I do expect much better support for this one, since the PS4 and XB1 are much closer to PCs architecture-wise and the hardware itself can handle the game better. I expect this fame to be relatively pain-free at launch wehn compared to other Bethesda games.

People who just focus on the graphics fail to realize just how much more a new-gen system can accomplish beyond awesome graphics. Yes, the graphics in the trailer are not "OHMYGAWDTHISISTHEBESTLOO KINGGAMEEVER" level... but this will be a HUGE game.
Beyond the simple graphics you'll have draw distance, intricate architecture, objects on screen, AI characters with diverse behavior patterns and combat behavior. You'll have a huge world with a bazillion nooks a...
Ubisoft's small games division is spectacular, too. You already mentioned Child of Light, but there's also games like Valiant Hearts and Rayman Origins, which are also amazing. Companies like EA and Activision don't release smaller games like these. Ubisoft desperately needs to make new IPs to stop milking Assassin's Creed to death, though. And they need to release a sequel to Blood Dragon.
Edit: @WickedLester This was meant to answer your post, but I posted ...
The only good thing Squeenix has going for it is their Western division, the former Eidos. With games like the latest Tomb Raider, Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex, they've been basically hogging all the acclaim SE gets and are the ones sustaining them in the West. They're genuinely fantastic games.
I think Sega is the saddest example because in their case, I think it's a lack of focus on the correct IPs more than it is true incompetence or malice. They're still trying to make 3D Sonic happen when they should instead focus on franchizes that are critically acclaimed and put good money for publicity behind them. Yakuza is only a niche game in the States because they've never given it the puzh it deserves, and Valkyria Chronicles is a friggin' gem of a franchise which unfor...
@SweatyFlorida Not to mention that by going full mobile, Konami will basically become a Japan-centric company now, cause no way they're gonna make money off American gamers by going the PopCap route. I'd even dare say that American audiences were the most expectant of Konami's upcoming games like MGS5 and Silent Hills, and we've been burnt to a crisp by all the crap that Konami's pulled.
Either Kojima will go the Inafune/Iga Kickstarter route or create his...
I'm conflicted about this news. On the one hand, the Azsassin's Creed series has become a clusterfudge with so many iterations coming out, it's hard to justify being a fan. But on the other, I always said Victorian England was the PERFECT time and place for the series.
But then again, the other time period I said was perfect for the series was Revolutionary France, and Unity messed that up spectacularly, so in the end I'm not holding my breath.
I've got Dark Arisen(thank you, PS Plus!), and it's amazingly better than vanilla. Better fast-traveling, LOADS of new gear, the Dark Arisen dungeon to explore(with craploads new enemy types and boss monster variations), Rarefication(being able to upgrade dragon-forged equipment)... The game is spectacular.
More like a couple of hours, lol. This got funded faster than Mighty No. 9 did!
ALREADY FUNDED! SUCK ON THAT TITTY, KONAMI! YEAAAH!!
Attacking feminism again? Masculinity crisis? Really? *sigh*
Teenagers watch porn and play videogames, and there's been a culture shift with the majority of under-40 folks having grown up with gaming and easy accessibility to pornography. Simple as that. It's not a crisis, it's simply that kids grow up different these days. Besides, masculinity is a subjective and frankly outdated motion. What does it even mean? What's the definition? Traditional male dominanc...
Not gonna lie: an HD remake of Dragon's Dogma with extra content I'd buy THE HELL out of. That game is an unsung masterpiece, and a remake with a revitalized online community to go with it would be the tits.
Star Citizen did an initial campaign on Kickstarter, but then shifted to crowd funding through their own system, and it hadn't made $4.2 million before it did. Bloodstained is the most funded game done exclusively through Kickstarter.
