I'd love to see them do the Dark Souls formula but in a vastly different setting, like urban fantasy Persona-style or cyberpunk.
No worries, Sakaguchi, Final Fantasy XIII already alienated me to the series years ago.
I currently can't watch the video. Can anyone give me the Cliff's Notes of it?
Who did this guy blow to get that job at the Post?
Um, this is nice and all... But shouldn't this guy be working on Battlefield 1? No wonder Battlefront was such a mess, the guys working on the games take too much free time.
Pffft, if anything, this is the easiest and most accessible entry to the series so far. Pre-patch Dark Souls 1, THAT was f***ing hard.
This is great if it happens because I always said that the inFamous series were the best Spider-Man games to not feature Spidey, so Sucker Punch are the perfect team to handle the license.
My opinion in this topic: No Metroid, no interest.
The only limitations that have been established on Fallout 4 mods for the consoles is that they be made with the GECK (so as to not cause problems with the system or main game files) and with compatibility in mind. Other than that, they are free. I don't know what the hell this guy is smoking.
Yes, they are overreacting. The regular PS4 is neither getting discontinued nor is it getting relegated, it will still get all the games with the same great performance we expect from the system. The NEO is simply an option for those players who want a machine with extra punch for that 4K display they have. You won't see NEO players having any advantage in online gaming or anything like that, the community will stay exactly the same and the games will work exactly the same. Yes, the games...
I completely agree with you on Silent Hill. The newest games only use Silent Hill as a backdrop instead of a true setting with lore and history. Silent Hill 2 in particular was fantastic in how it handled the history of the town and giving hints on why it's a hellmouth.
The author of this thing lost me at talking smack about the Elder Scrolls lore too. Yes, Elder Scrolls has a HUGE backstory, but it's ENTIRELY OPTIONAL. You can play a game like Skyrim at face value without ever cracking one of the in-game books open and both understand the story and enjoy the game. You could, for example, find Barbas and start the quest with Clavicus Vile and you can deduce the concept that Vile is some sort of god or demonic entity that likes to make deals, no need to l...
This is as subjective a topic as it gets. Both approaches have their strengths and weaknesses, and that's without even mentioning how games will often have varying degrees between each approach like, say, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night starts linear but slowly becomes more open as you play until you reach the Upside Down Castle and it's fully open, or games with a hub that have linear stages but can be tackled in any order. It's simply impossible to say one is better than the ...
Glad to see Sega come to its senses and recognize the loyal Yakuza fanbase in the West. Yakuza is easily my all-time favorite Sega franchise and one of my top 5 gaming franchises overall, so to me this is fantastic news. Also, with Yakuza 6 also confirmed for Western release and a new Valkyria Chronicles on the way, it seems Sega's putting their money where their mouth is when they said that they're trying to win back the fans they've lost over the years. If they bring back other ...
You hear that sound? That's the sound of the last nail being hammered into a coffin.
Seriously, what is Nintendo thinking? They must be well-aware that them hitting it big with the Wii was a fluke, no other motion-control-based gimmick has been succesful since. Or are they really as disconnected from the pulse of gamers that they really expect to catch lightning in a bottle twice?
This is just such a frustrating situation because we're basically on th...
They could call it Kojima Made A Horror Game or Konami Couldn't Stop This and it'd still sell like hotcakes.
I hope that Guillermo Del Toro gets on board too. It's about time he finally gets his dream of producing a game to come true, and without Konami to muck it up, the sky's the limit for him and Kojima.
I politely disagree. Sony players have a long history of love for all-ages platformer games. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ape Escape, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, LittleBigPlanet, Sly Cooper, they're all franchises that are beloved by Sony players and the ones still being released still sell well to this day.
Oh, I LOVED playing as Ellie in TLOU. And from a storyline perspective, it makes sense that she'd be so competent and dangerous to the older male pursuers, since, unlike them, she was born and raised into that world. I love the fact that the bad guys attempted to victimize her but that she was NOT a victim.
I love that the trailer itself says "These guys fight, we don't even know why", lol.
