Well, answering this as both a soldier and a veteran... this comment is racist as sh!t.
@Hoffman: Replace Kingdom Hearts with Metal Gear Solid 2 and I'll agree 100 percent with your list. I mean, come on, MGS2 was such a big deal that an entire other game sold well solely based on it having a demo of it.
Twisted Metal's great, but the launch window's BIG game was TEKKEN.
Edit: Let me elaborate: Tekken was the game that not only showcased how faithful to the arcade games on the PS1 could be, it also established the PS1 could IMPROVE over the arcade. Not only that, it was able to replicate the arcade experience at a MUCH lower price range than, say, the Neo Geo. During that generation, the PS1 was THE system for 3D fighting games, and games like Soul Blade, Tekken 3, St...
Does the game give you the option of choosing between Dinklage and North? If it doesn't, that's a massive oversight.
I'm not an XBox gamer, but I'm honestly offended at all the disagrees this post is getting. Both consoles have great exclusives and their fans, we don't need that kind of fanboy hate anymore(or better said, we've never needed it anyway). I'm a PS4 gamer, but games like Scalebound, Cuphead and Crackdown 3 are games I can appreciate as looking great without shitting on the system or its fans.
I just hope we in the West don't get left out, it'd be heartbreaking for me.
Which of their games I play: none anymore.
How I want to play them: made by a company who gives a sh*t.
By making this survey, Konami are proving that they either are completely disconnected from their public or don't care and are condescending towards them, and it's pretty hard to judge which one's worse.
I've been a gamer since the original NES, and from way back then, Konami was SYNONYMOUS with great games. Many companies make great...
Gee, I wonder if there'll be any Monster Hunter games at the TGS? /sarcasm
The one game missing from that line-up that I desperately want more info on is Dragon's Dogma Online. The original Dragon's Dogma is right up there with Dark Souls and Kingdoms of Amalur as my favorite action RPG of the last generation, and taking it online has me mad excited because of the possibilities. Many of the classes and skills you and your pawns had in the last game seemed tailor-m...
Well put. Open-world games with a quest-based game structure and customization options are always a tricky beast just because the massive amount of possible options opens up bugs that will escape notice on beta-testing. This isn't Bethesda's fault and it's not exclusive to them, nor are they the worst offender (*cough* Ubisoft! *cough*).
The current consoles are much closer to PC architecture than ever, and Fallout 4 has been in development for quite some time. Ye...
Oh, MercurySteam? The same company that F*CKED Castlevania? No thanks.
Hey, I wonder what Retro Studios has been up to lately?
It's not overconfidence on Sony's part because they have the lion's share of the market in Europe, and with globalized communication, Europeans were able to watch the awesome E3 Sony conference as readily as Americans. Not much has happened between E3 and today to merit Sony making the Gamescon conference, and they're going to have a showing at the Paris Games Week, so European fans can get their fix then. Also, most importantly in my opinion, we'll probably get the second...
This game, to me, was the biggest surprise in the last E3. It came out of nowhere and looks like a genuinely fun and unique take on the open-world genre. It was definitely the most appealing game Ubisoft had on display(although that's a low bar). I'm cautiously optimistic about it.
Of course, Fallout 4 will destroy it, like it will destroy everything else, but hey, we'll see.
That's exactly what I said, that the Muppets was a way for Iwata-San to make an appearance without letting on if his health had deteriorated. It makes their last E3 conference very bittersweet.
While the PC conference was pretty bad, it at least showed a lot of gameplay. The main problem it had was that it was looooooooong. If they shorten the format and keep it game-focused, it should be much better next year.
The undisputed king of suck this year was DEFINITELY Squeenix. That conference was GODAWFUL. No gameplay AT ALL, lackluster game announcements and even its biggest game, the remake of Final Fantasy VII, had ALREADY been announced at Sony's conference. Squ...
Don't wanna seem like I'm taking anything away from the graveness of the news, but this might explain the Muppets on this year's Nintendo conference. They would be a way to feature Iwata-San on it without showing any heealth deterioration he might have had.
Rest in peace, Iwata-San, may Nintendo flourish in your wake thanks to the foundation you left behind.
Edit: Oh, and F*CK CANCER. Why does it never kill BAD people?
Wow, the Nintendo fans must be hella salty today, since posts like ChronoJoe's and rainslacker's are getting so many overwhelming negative votes when they're giving good opinions on the topic.
If Nintendo really want fans supporting the NX, then this are the steps they need to take:
-The system HAS to be stronger than the PS4 and XB1. If it's not, it is automatically doomed to failure. Being stronger than the Wii-U or equal to the PS4 or XB1 w...
-New Valkyria Chronicles on console.
-New Phantasy Star, both on and offline.
-New Shinobi.
-Bring EVERYTHING Yakuza stateside.
-NEW ALEX KIDD! Alex Kidd is WAY cooler than Sonic!
-New Virtua Fighter.
-New Vanquish.
-New Binary Domain.
-New Sakura Wars.
-New Jet Set Radio.
-New Panzer Dragoon.
-New Shining game.
-New Skies of Arcadia.
Don't be surprised if we do get a Tenchu game in the future. From Software has the rights to the franchise, so who knows, maybe in a spell where they're not busy with a Souls game they can make a new Tenchu. My biggestwish is that if they do make a new Tenchu, Noriyuki Asakura is still composer. Tenchu has one of the ABSOLUTE BEST game soundtracks ever.
*sigh* And here I was talking with a friend of mine that Sega's insistence of making Sonic work at the expense of their other franchises is what's killing the company...
Demifiend in Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga is f'ing EVIL. Go find a FAQ on how to beat him, it's INSANE.
