I think making a hard drive standard on the $199.00 arcade model would help MS alot.

Impressive numbers for sure,but do keep one thing in mind.
The excuse last week for some relatively poor PS3 numbers (especially Japan) was "everyone knows the cheaper Slim is coming" and that was true.
So are you actually seeing "two weeks" (or more) worth of sales because of the waiters plus some extra or is it truely somthing more?I dont think anyone knows the answer to that question unless you have a cyrstal ball.

Well its not a horrible list.Picking 10 favorite games is just so subjective. Some of the biggest games some people rave about, I really didnt get that much out of them.
But that goes for everyone or every game would be the same.
On that note, Im hoping Twisted Metal II,Civilization II, and Command and Conquer makes the list.

I really thought the NES and PS2 were a lock for the top two spots.
I didnt realize Samsung was placed on a pedestal with Sony nowdays. When I was a kid, my first TV was by a "forget me brand" called Samsung. They werent looked as being any better than a Emerson or Magnavox then and priced to match. Just a cheap Kmart TV.
But it never died on me.....
My washer/dryer are Samsung as is my upconverted DVD recorder/player in the living room.

eagle21, I think your anger is being directed at the wrong console.Dont blaim the 360 for the PS3 placing like it did.Blaim the PS2! The PS3 is a expansion of the same basic formula that made the PS2 great. Unfortunately, lightning didnt strike twice due to several reasons (some self inflicted by Sony).
So take pride tommorow when you see a Sony and Nintendo product placing 1st and 2nd.

Its not worth it to me. I have Halo 3, but enjoyed 1st person shooters like Bioshock and L4D more. But I also never played Halo 3 online....That happens when you have satelite internet.You have to go to a buddies house to do the LIVE thing.

Well..It would be a boring read wouldnt it to structure it that way? EVERYONE knows your cel phone has processing power that would embarass a NES let alone a current gen console.
So you compile a (opinionated) list of consoles based on their pioneering features,impact on the market,popularity,etc.
If anything,it puts current gen systems at a disadvantage as alot of these great features you rave over now, another console may have already done (or started doing).
