Nah man. Its marketing. You have somthing that doesnt "technically" need any physical controller. You advertise it as such as its "new" to the consumer market at this level.
It seperates itself from the Wii.
To show "hybrid" games with it in a larger scale (like E3), may have reduced its impact.
Sonys playing it safe with the Move. But its not getting the same hype outside of Sony circles, because its obviously seen as a direct response...
I dont think a new system from MS or Sony is needed right now. The console thats kicking ass and taking names this gen is arguably not much more powerful than a PS2. All Nintendo has to do is HD the Wii and they will be good to go for some time.
That and with the state of the economy, developing,marketing,and selling a all new,high dollar systems would likely fail hard. Isnt MS and Sony just recently turning a HW profit after several years?

The second vid you posted shows the screen and you can clearly see when they execute a move at the right time,you get the little glowing at the feet (sparkle stuff...may say "nice" or "flawless" if done very well. If you dont move your leg or arm or whatever right,it also turns red. Like Rock Band,you can play it horribly,but still enjoy the song.
The game when loading says on the screen "mirror the dancers moves".

They were being scored everytime they moved left then right and every hand clap etc. Its like Rock Band but your moving a part of your body instead of pressing a button at the right time.

That doesnt really matter does it? If your moving the right way,the game lets you know. In theory, if your seeing "flawless" on screen,your probably aproximating the animated character pretty well...IE dancing.
The game looks like fun and I bet my daughter would love it.
I think the game potentially has broad appeal and more important to MS, could get alot of people who have little interest in video games wanting one too.
The question is will they plunk down the $$$ for it?
And will Kinect have any other genres to keep the momentum going.
The games themselves yes. I was refering to the hardware. Even the "budget gaming" articles here climb to at least twice what a PS3 or 360 cost with a monitor,OS,keyboard,mouse,etc.
All a console needs is a TV thats already in your house to plug it into.

Im more a console gamer now and I see where the guy is coming from, but I dont think theres a "right" or "wrong" view on all of it.Consoles are more convienent and accesable overall while PC tends to cost more, can be a little more complicated but can also offer greater performance.
Controls are subjective. I used to only do FPS with a keyboard/mouse but now im used to a controller. I can do damage with both.
