Ahem..All I was saying is when mom and dad go to the store, they see a "one box" solution without confusing additions. No they dont confuse you,but your not them OK?
Your paragraph devoted towards making setting up/using Kinect as a overtly time consuming, ritual demanding, requiring hiring a interior decorator,a complete change of attire, lag thats certain to last for DAYS,and having to make silly gestures doesnt seem relavant to what I said at all. And i made mention of that ...
One advantage MS can employ with this is simplicity.Forget about bias, favorites, trolling, perfor mance, lag or whatever for a sec.
The motion stuff is marketed towards casuals largely. Now, mom and dad WILL like the idea of not having to buy a extra doo dad here and there. Sure you MAY not need to have it.......but
The Wii still has the huge advantage IMO though.Seeing as there is TONS of games for it now.
Well I was guessing a $299 Kinect Bundle, and it looks like thats the case.
Not a bad deal with the bundle (99 bucks), but I was hoping stand alone it came in $20-$30 less than $150.00.At least it comes with a "game". And honestly from what ive seen of Kinect Adventures,it seems like a good pack in title to get peoples feet wet. You know..not a very "in depth" title or anything, but gives everyone a chance to play with it on Xmas day. Like "Duck Hunt" fo...
This whole debate needs to be put into perspective.
Yes Sony won everyone over worldwide in 09 and so far this year.
Why? Largely because of the slim and price cut. The machines a great value for $300 considering all you get.
But only a fool wouldnt think MS wouldnt counter, and they have JUST done that in the last few WEEKS.MS hasnt quite finished yet as the cheaper new SKU is next month. This is a boxing match run in EXTREME slow motion. Untill June, the last majo...
At least hes offering free shipping with it.That should be enough to get someone to commit ;)
I think its impressive considering the old SKU discounts and 360S didnt even start untill mid June.
July may be even higher.
But MS had to do somthing. The PS3 at $299.00 was a brilliant move on Sonys part.
I traded mine in at Gamestop. My 20 gig HD was getting cramped and it wasnt much more money getting a slim instead of a $130 HD for my old Pro.
Wouldnt have done it now if not for the trade in promo.
Wow. All the consoles did quite a bit better than May. Did alot of good boys and girls get graduation presents?
Yeah..I mean hes a PR guy.His job is to promote the high points of his product.
And that actually goes above and beyond just working for MS. I would hate a job like that, its like being a press secretary for the president. That guy looks like a douche daily!!!!
But If he made a claim that 360 will always be ahead at some point Rome, fine.It happens.
I bet MS said "oh crap" when the Slim hit at 300 bucks. Now MS is going to attempt to gain some gro...
I had a white 360 controller in my hands for almost 3 years, never cleaned it, and it looks just like it did in 07'.
But I also never played it while eating or just after working on one of the cars either......
The Lumines project would have been neat.Have Lumines II for PSP and love it.
Considering its a country chock full of human rights violations, bans on a "toy" seem pretty trivial in comparison.
Ive had one disc get scratched. My (then) brand new copy of GTAIV. My friend picked on his 360 to check some connection in the back and it happened.Game still played and a visit to a local "DVD repair" shop got it looking new again for 2 bucks.
I move my game consoles about as often as I move the DVD players in the house or the satelite recievers.Which is pretty much never.
Yeah, yeah a Wii or PS3 doesnt have this concern, but its really not a big deal IMO. Especial...
I see what your saying, but theres no way to accurately predict how many consoles are "re-purchases". How many PS3's were lost in a house fire and replaced? Or a angry GF threw it out the window? Or it developed a $150.00 repair problem so the owner just bought a $300 slim?Hundreds? Millions? Who knows? The point is you cant just pull numbers out of thin air.
As for banned consoles, well they probably still work, just not on Live. The owner likely made the decision to put...
I think the Wii has a comfortable lock on 1st place this gen. Unless Nintendo was found to be funneling money to terrorists or some other extreme, no amount of MOVEing or KINECTing is going to alter that.
As for 2nd place? Still a toss up. I think MS and Sony will have a close, bitter battle the rest of this gen. Close enough that both of their console bases are high enough that it really wont matter if one ends up 3 million units higher than the other over a 5-10 year period.
Well this sucks. I really enjoyed playing One vs 100. Got a party chat going and had a good time with it.
At least I got all the achievements!
Yeah.I read about that somewhere years ago. What a truely awful game that was.
Ive had my 360S almost a week now, and it is alot quieter than my late 07' model. Not just the fan but the disc drive is quieter too.
How she acted during and immediately after is all thats important and establishes shes a P.O.S.
That she watched Jerry Springer, made a sandwich, ordered somthing from QVC, or Facebooked afterwards is irrelavent.
4GB is enough to go on Live and save games.Theres no mandatory game installs to worry about.
Considering people in June were paying $199 for a Arcade without WiFi and getting a half gig of memory, doesnt seem like a bad deal to me. Add 16GB USB to it and your in business for awhile.
But I would (and did) step up for the $299 model.
