He isn't saying anything wrong.
"Nowadays most of the quality of a game comes from the development effort put into it, not the technology it runs on."
So he doesn't think that a high-end PC should be the focal point of the game's design. Rather, it should focus on a lower level (such as consoles) so that a bigger portion of gamers can enjoy the game.
... although that doesn't explain why RAGE has been such a mess on ...
Then you predicted wrong.
He didn't predict that both will look great.
He predicted that both with look great.
The famous Commander Shepard of the star ship allergic reaction?
I wonder if we'll ever have actual movies that are made in this glitchy fashion. They sure are entertaining... and have an odd way of making one laugh.
@Cupid
Read the last three paragraphs of the review.
The reasoning is explained there.
Also, I don't think the reviewer ever calls F4 the best racing "sim", so I'm not exactly sure what you are quoting.
Looks like you couldn't fit your trolling to one account.

"Where are all the platforming games? Where's the adventure games."
A game can be a plat-former or an adventure game while still being an FPS. They aren't mutually exclusive.
A game like Portal or MirrorsEdge is a puzzle-platformer, yet is also in the first-person view.
A game like Amnesia can qualify as adventure, yet it also is entirely in first-person.
Then there's the hybrid FPS/RPGs such as DeusEx and Fallout, which ...
Ubisoft and Activision already have their own digital stores.
Even THQ has one from what I recall.
EA's origin isn't really all that new either as it is virtually the same thing as their old EA Store, they just added a few features to the download manager and slapped on a new name.
Origin and Steam aren't the only two competitors. There's Impulse, along with other digital retailers such as D2D, GreenManGaming and GamersGate.
.....
60fps across all platforms...
Which kind of sucks for PCs because some prefer a higher frame-rate than that.
"This image makes no actual sense"
lol'd
"If not for Quake, it would have been someone else."
So then let's not give anything any respect?
3D games today own a great deal to the games of the past that pioneered the technology. You'll be hard pressed to find a developper arrogant enough to state that they could've created their games all from scratch without relying on the work done in the past.
Nanos gigantium humeris insidentes.

Here's a few issues I noticed:
- Textures taking time to 'load'
- Poor performance
- No real graphics settings (you're only allowed to pick AntiAliasing and Resolution)
- A pointless 'Press Enter' screen
- There is no way to close the game (AFAIK). Quitting the game brings you to the main menu
- No FOV settings
- No real control settings (can't toggle ADS, etc)
The performance and visual hitch...
^ There's a lot of things Hollywood *should* do.
Anyways, I'll be waiting for the follow up with villains saying how much they hate Michael.
^ The MGS plot twist was kind of odd.
It was cool that the government was using you, but Liquid/Ocelot's plan was retarded. It's been a long time since I played it, but I remember their logic being somewhere along the lines of:
"Herp Derp, we can't figure this out. Let's just hope Snake figures it out. Oh, wouldn't want him to become suspicious though, so let's just pretend to hinder him in every way possible"
MGS2's plot ...

"I have the Steam + Steam Overlay + Origin + Origin Overlay + BF3 Game + Web Browser (for battlelog) all eating RAM at the same time."
You can disable Origin's in-game overlay similar to how steam's overlay can be disabled.
Origin is a bit heavy on the RAM side, but it still isn't a significant factor in performance as long as you have enough ram.
^ ATI's GPUs usually suffer when it comes to openGL.
Usually have to wait for the devs to patch something, or for ATI to release a driver update.
There was a similar problem with Brink.
It's almost like Romero handled the PC version.
^ 10mb per second.
I think I'm good.
=)
Couldn't care less if a site doesn't nominate it for GOTY.
If Portal2 becomes GOTY, then it neither increases nor decreases the amount of enjoyment I got from that game. (And it very much is in the running despite not being open world nor an RPG nor having any real multiplayer)
Same applies to RAGE.
He recently joined.
His intentions are obvious.
... Well, if shadowrun is anything to go by, then a competitive FPS might not be an ideal candidate for cross-platform play.
It remains to be seen how well CS:GO fares.
