That's kinda like saying that LBP is just a platformer with a level editor.
I don't know if it is more creative or not, but Trials does allow you to make FPS, Top-Down-Shooters/Racers, Foosball, Pinball, etc.
They're even shown in the trailer for the game.
I haven't played Trials either, but I would assume LPB is capable of being more complicated, but both games do allow for a lot of creativity.
...because neither studio has anything better to do.
Well, they have the game sandwiched between BF3 and BF4... with BF3 still having a lot of scheduled DLC left.
Couple that with the mediocre release of MoH1, and it wouldn't be surprising if it doesn't sell lots.
I was going to pre-order it, but the 30/60/90-Day DLC and whatever mess they have going on deterred me from it.
^ It isn't an argument. It's a fact.
Yes, PS+ is a great subscription service. I have it, and I'd encourage others to get it too.
That still doesn't mean that you can call those games free.
You paid the subscription, and got access to those games for the duration of the subscription. That's all SuicidalTendencies was correcting you on. We're not bashing PS+, we're just being obsessively pedantic about what the word 'fre...
Why would you let your subscription expire? =p
^ It is better, but that still doesn't make those games "free" when they're part of a subscription.
Considering that MGS4 contains most of ShadowMoses, and that they have the dialogue from TwinSnakes, they could've remade MGS1 again.
Oh well, maybe some things are better left in the past.
What does this have to do with the article? O.o
EDIT: Visiting the article again, I'm assuming it's about the single comment in the article? Not sure if a single comment is worth ranting over like that.
Yea but the cinematic do sort of change the feel of the game.
Like the Ocelot fight where in the original Snake just takes a jump back to avoid a bullet... while in TwinSnakes he's does a back-flip.
... and then the post-fight cutscene with gray fox doing all kinds of ninja trickery.
The character's don't exactly behave like they did in the canon version.
^ But you can't really score graphics like that because standards keep changing.
What was visually impressive in 2007 may just be mediocre in 2011... and the same holds true for most other elements of a game.
So you can't use any static reference when the standards change every year, or rather, every few months.
... and there is the other problem of deciding what standard to pick. A lot of the big sites have multiple reviewers, and each might ...
Fanboys take things too far in two ways:
They defend what they like, and they attack what they don't.
In your comment, you just fall under the latter case by singling out Nintendo.
They just need to get their DLC under control.
DoW:Retribution and SaintsRow3 just had absurd amounts of DLC, but aside from that, they have a pretty good lineup of IPs.
Eh? PC gamers aren't really the dominant user base on N4G.
Consider this, steam had their summer sale which is a pretty hyped event... yet none of the steam sale related articles became the hottest topics on the front page.
Meanwhile, what did gather heat was articles about how Uncharted3 supposedly copied a 1987 boxart, or the weekly PSN Store update.
That, and asside from a few cases, the response from users to negativity depends on how...
Gaikai and OnLive weren't really competing... and they haven't really competed yet either, nor do we know if they even will be competing.
Gaikai only offered demos and was used by publishers to let people quickly try their game without having to download a large file.
OnLive on the other hand, has acted more like a digital retailer that lets you stream your games. You can still use the service to play trials of games for free if you want, but it wasn&...
That's why I read the comments. It's amusing.
"The games you find on PC, the biggest titles, you also find on the consoles. "
No, you don't.
The two most popular games on steam are Dota2 and TF2.
The biggest non-steam games are WoW & StarCraft2.
... and comparing PC's version of TF2 versus the console version is like comparing the iPhone version of DeadSpace to the real thing.

"The games on a mobile device such as a tablet or a sma...
What's wrong with NES or Genesis games?
For that matter, why are people who game on a particular platform not considered gamers?
Flip things around for a second; What if I said that console games bore me? They play like PC games from 2006 and people who play on consoles are casuals who just play simple-minded linear games and can't handle the complexity of true gaming which is on PC.
The most popular console game is CoD, shows you how "great"...
Kind of odd for them to release an XL-edition and then go with another version. =/
Twisted Metal isn't a racing game.
