^ Err, you can easily use a controller.
That's what I did for the first Darksiders.
DMC3 was just an aweful port like RE4.
Then they should've outsourced it to a western developer that knows how to do a proper port to PC. (Although that didn't work out too well for them in the past)
Yea, but you also got to play (and hopefully enjoy) the game for nearly a year, so that's gotta be worth something right?
DeusEx always overshadows SystemShock2. =(
^ It is amazing for you, not for me.
Why? Because we aren't getting the same thing. GFWL does more than just sour the mouth.
That, and I can't eat it on a sunday because the McD that originally had it closes on sundays. My McD is open on a sunday but in the name of some misplaced sentiment of parity, mine decides to not offer the sandwich on sundays.
Is it enough for me to rob the store? No, and I don't agree with the pirates, but I feel I...
^ Here's a summary of your post:
- One should never expect features in a game, no matter how basic, from a developer.
- Wii and PS3 are nothing alike, but PS360 and PC are
- PC games can apparently not be scaled at all, because improved options (like resolution) apparently make it harder for people with low-end rigs to play the game.
- Developers should be fair. That means all versions of the game across all platforms mus...
"This port is in no way weaker than the console version."
GFWL
Also, you're being pretty hypocritical by saying the Wii comparison isn't fair. If people can enjoy the game on Wii at 480p, then why can't ps360 owners?
The reason is, you are accustomed to 720p now. On PC, most people are sitting even closer to the screen, and standard screen sizes are 1080p or above. They're accustomed to a different standard.

@Mystic
You clearly have never tried to play a game online on GFWL.
^ Those Wii-to-PS3 ports were actually done properly. They don't counter LoD's theory at all.
Be grateful? They aren't doing a charitable action by porting the game; they're trying to make money.
It's like going to a restaurant and ordering a meal, only to have a burnt mess delivered to you. Does it really make sense for the chef to tell you that you can't complain because you asked for the food, and instead should be grateful that he even gave you something in the first place?
The extra content doesn't do anything if the base game...
They pretty much shattered that with Virtua Fighter didn't they?
I wasn't expecting them to make new high-res art, but locking the internal buffer... really?
The animations aren't that hard, because the source animation isn't capped at 30. I can't even think of the last time a PC port was capped at 30fps.
This game becomes worse than a typical port because of GFWL. Couple that with the previous limitations and you have quite a deterrent...
... which directly affects the gameplay. You know DarkSoul...
I'd rather they kept 60 fps instead of fancifying the environments.
EDIT:
Logic, have you ever hovered your mouse over my avatar? :D
^ The games fall in price very quickly.
SpecOps was 50% off in like a week?
Recently, Borderlands2 and Hitman:Absolution could be pre-ordered for around $36.
Skyrim's DLC could be obtained for $15 instead of $20.
I pre-ordered BF3 for $45 and got DeadSpace2 for 'free' with it... there's plenty of examples, and for those who wait, there are the sales (such as on steam) which are in a league of their own.
The fli...
The solution you've given are:
A.) You know where they are so you're prepared
B.) Tell your team-mates
You can do both those things in virtually any shooter.
KZ2's warzone was an objective-based mode. Most objective-based modes have less campers (or well, unless you're around the objective). Play TDM, and there'll be no shortage of campers.
Hardcore isn't the same.
A true classic mode where everyone starts with the same weapons, and everything else spawns in the map.
... and it has nothing to do with sucking at the game.
^ The question is, what progress would a new engine make?
The current engine is optimized, runs across a wide spectrum of hardware, is capable of impressive visuals, and has a physics engine that can still hold its own.
Without any real improvement, a new engine is a waste of time. It's like buying a new computer with identical parts as your old one. A new computer in itself is meaningless if it has no advantages over the old one.
@Silent...
No engine can survive 2 gens? Tell that to idTech3
Don't see why a new engine is necessary.
If it's visuals, then there are games like DearEsther that show that Source can still output amazing visuals (and it is quite optimized)
There really aren't many (any?) inherent problems in the engine that would require a new one to be made.
I believe that the PC version of Ninja Blade was outsourced to a different developer that was familiar with the PC platform. The port was still bad, but at least had basic options that are expected in PC games.
