If it's a PC version like in the pic, buying it early does nothing because it uses steamworks, and steam won't allow you to play until the actual release date.
Are you not aware of rule 34? O.o
I hope they enable local 2-player on their games in big picture mode as well.
You're a bad imitation of DarkSniper.
Improve your game.
Wasn't PS+ recently 25% off for EU?
Also, you have to consider the income as well before making a direct comparison of currency.
NA store's selection is better since it has more games (or rather, receives faster updates). For example, I believe EU is still missing CS:Go.
PS+ on the other hand, although it is an opinion, seems to have better games on the EU side. MotorstormApocalypse, along with the games Adva mentioned, pretty much trump what NA has received.
I should stop reading articles about EU's PS+ updates. Almost always makes me less happy about what the NA gets.
Oh well.
^ Most F2P games have systems where you buy a bulk of special in-game currency from somewhere between 5 to 40 bucks. You then use that special in-game currency to buy items. That in-game currency is used for micro-transaction, but you still initially make a relatively large purchase.
DLC can just be seen as a $15 pack.
With premium being the larger pack.
In an F2P game, you can expect paying members to have a few exclusive cosmetic items, and a few other perks...
Basic features are free, but there are premium exclusive features, such as being able to save a battle-report, or wiping your stats.
Also, Battlelog's design itself reflects a few F2P games which require a browser plugin.
Battlefield3 might as well be a F2P game considering it's been on sale for $10 and they've divided their player base into two tiers, and that's essentially F2P territory at that point.
Uncharted3's multiplayer als...
That's odd. Usually the excuse is that PS3 has more games to choose from, and that the players are more mature so they don't buy games like CoD.
Oh well. I suppose we've forgotten about BlackOps' issues on the PS3 and how Activision has been favouring the 360 with DLC.
Makes no difference to me. I only need the game to be available for a week to snatch it. After that, any replacements just means more games for me.
Yea, they could've replaced a PSN game with blitz... but still, not much of a difference to existing PS+ subscribers.
All4One has been free for NA since the InstaGameCollection launch.
EU got motorstorm instead I think.
Sony doesn't appear to be threatened, but you sure appear to be, for whatever odd reason.
...or else, you'd just call it the 'WiiU' instead of going through the trouble of typing out 'Upgrade' every single time.
^ I shifted the year ahead by one because that's when they were awarded.
Admittedly, that is a mistake since the award wasn't for that year itself. (obviously, 2012's GOTY haven't been awarded yet)
You can look at it as Bethesda game for 2011, and RDR/ME2 for 2010.
Doesn't really change the point.
The 'best' game is an opinion, but going by the majority/critics:
In 2012: Bethesda's game won most GOTY awards (although that doesn't matter much since Bethesda isn't developing this game)
In 2011: GOTY was between RDR and ME2 -> ME2 uses Unreal.
Not a compelling argument you have there.
Well, they wanted to own their IP, and EA seems to be one of the few publishers that allows it.
That's why you have so many good developers that sign up with EA... but then every once in a blue moon, EA turns into a werewolf and kills off one of their studios.
I do miss the old art style though. Not really digging the new one. Reminds me too much of Syndicate.
^ Well, it was released later on PC, and most people had played it on a console already at that point. Might come as a shock, but 'PC fans' play console games too, especially when they're exclusive (timed or permanent)
Not sure how sales changes anything though, his point was just that the MGS series has been on other platforms.
Dishonored looks like one of the few games that might be worth replaying simply due to all the different ways you can play the game.
So length might not be that big of an issue. It's more so a matter of the gameplay itself being as good as it sounds.
^ Try reading MAJ0R's comment.
Steam isn't the only digital retailer. Skyrim, MaxPayne3 and MW3 were both available for less than $50 if you shopped around (in this case, GreenManGaming for the first two and D2D for MW3)
To use a more recent example, Borderlands2 is $60 on steam, but you could've pre-ordered it from GMG for $36 (and it activates on steam anyways). That's is why screencaps of steam are meaningless as an argument.

They're showing 4k by using 4 PS3's to run the game.
