"There are people who will give you more than what an item is worth."
Isn't that the basic law that allows businesses to exist?
None know this truth better than Bobby Kotick.
It would only be a proper port if Treyarch went through the effort of changing the plot to accommodate giant robots.
:D
There's a difference.
Your name is weird, mine is unique. :D
(Figured I'd edit this since the old comment wasn't too appropriate =/ )
Why do they all sound like Snake?
x.x
Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
That's what I'd give them.
Heh, GTmonster, you called him a 360 fanboy? Amusing. :D
@ Lovable
Yes, many games do use this "feature". It is used to artificially increase the game's length. That's exactly what Matt said.

BlackOps is the best racing game of all time. Try an RC-Car race, everyone who's tried it agrees with me.
Not only does the RC-Car have realistic physics, but crashing it causes the whole thing to go kablewwie.
Right there, thats called realistic damage, yup.
Also, there's only one model so none of this standard/premium nonsense. Consistent graphics across the board. No pesky menus either.
Though you can't change the rims, unfortu...
EnemyTerritory... TeamFortress
QuakeWars ... Brink
Don't know why I relate them like that.
Probably cause one is Wolfenstien and the other is QW. =/
Anyways to your answer question:
Some people tend to pick BlackOps though because of more gameplay modes. Some also think that having vehicles lead to unbalanced gameplay (remember air support in the old Battlefield game? :D)
Lastly, some just don't like objective-based games. They ...
Interesting how many disagrees you get for making a valid argument.
Oh well, atleast the "article" is reasonable in its contents despite being slightly childish in its ambition.
Heh, well... MW2 ain't too shabby on PC since there's dedicated servers, a few wager-esque modes, and killstreak kills not contributing towards the next killstreak.
Its all a matter of finding a server that isn't full of Commando-knifers. =/
... Though I'd still take the blandness of BO over a PaveLow. Damn Pavelows. =.=
Hits. The person with the first review gets the most traffic.
They have to be quick.
Professionalism takes a back seat when cutting shortcuts nets better profits.
All the reviews voice the same criticism.... but some give a different score than others...
... or maybe I'm doing it wrong. Maybe I should just look at the numerical score instead of reading it. =/
My only gripe with Castelvania was that I didn't get to fight Dracula... or atleast, I don't think I did. =/
I don't think BC2 was that under-appreciated though...
Does Metro2033 deserve to be on the list?
The same holds true for any series, be it FinalFantasy or GranTurismo or Halo or, well, just about anything.
The general game remains the same, but new elements are added on with each iteration.
Though I guess there's a few exceptions such as ResidentEvil which pulled a surprise move with RE4.
I thought Beyond Good & Evil 2 was in development?
The difference between Trey and IW is that, IW came up with new ideas. Or atleast, they came up with most of the things CoD is famous for. (perks, killstreaks, experience system).
Most of the innovations CoD came up with have been through IW's games.
Currently I'm enjoying BlackOps more than CoD4 (on PC) The removal of StoppingPower means people now have to aim, and the guns have recoil. The AK47 and M16 are just easy mode in MW with StoppingPower sla...
The idea here is that bugs can be fun.
I wish more developpers would release buggy games.
Not broken games in which NPCs during escort missions fail to follow you and run off to Azerbaijan instead, but games that every now and then, do something funky.
Texture pop-in = bad
Carts randomly flying every now and then = good
Nice job not including Agent 47.
Punks.

@ Nihilism
I'll agree that Bioshock is the only FPS that really has done anything creative with its single-player. (Though, does Portal count?)
Which is sad because the plot is almost identical to SystemShock2 and the overall game dumbed down. =/
It seems like the most creative developers, like all creative artists, are poor.
... but why hide the actual visual damage?

Unless... Unless... wait... did Yamauchi just troll the entire gaming-related internet?
EDIT: I just realized. Since the damage is controlled by your progression, Yamauchi basically created a "Damage Control" system.
The plot thickens... o.o
