Granted, multiplayer FPS games are the same thing, but I'd just say that GT is a game that never gets old.
It's a racing game. There isn't a whole lot of variety to what you can do. =/

Well damage models are more like having limbs flying off in a War game.

I know that some licence tests disqualify you for crashing, and from what people have said, higher-level races also do something similar?
So there is an incentive to stay on the road.

Sequels are made when a game is successful.
When a game fails, a sequel doesn't get made.

There's plenty of hack and slash in CoD games, with all the hackers and knife-only nubs.

Well, entertainment and video games fall under "regular" news too.
For some reason, I tend to prefer these kinds of reviews. Usually there isn't that much bias at the cost of not being very thorough... but meh, that isn't really a rule set in stone anyways.
(Although, looking at the person who submitted this article on N4G... has me a bit cautious)

How much longer before console games get those kind of video options?
If the next GT is on Ps3, then add an option to scale down resolution to 720p with improved visuals.
... or go one step further and add another option to scale it down to 30fps.
Photo-mode shows the models are good enough. The fact that they pulled of 1080p with 60fps is amazing in itself... but give the user a bit of freedom in how they want the game to perform/look.
