^ CoD is the virus.

A Vaccine is (quoting Wiki) an "agent (that) stimulates the body's immune system to recognize the agent as foreign, destroy it, and "remember" it, so that the immune system can more easily recognize and destroy any of these microorganisms that it later encounters."

A vaccine is usually a weakened virus or something that resembles it.

Arguing semantics is fun. =)

Well, they fit the player-count.

That... guy... kinda looks like Jensen.

Or is it just me?

... Actually, I think BlackOps is better suited as a vaccine.

Resolution does make for a superior experience. It's not the only thing, but it is a factor.

> Crysis is the only crutch PC elitists can come up with
- There's also Metro... and anything else that has mod support. I'm not a fan of making lists. Crysis is cited because it is an old game, so PC elitists point at it to show that consoles have yet to beat a 3+ year old game.

> (Crysis) A boring, generic, art-less, unoriginal FPS.

There's creativity for those who seek it. Lately I've been chugging through plenty of indie games on PC... most of them are available on XBLA and PSN as well.

Wii is, well... its doing its own thing and has creative games too.

Consumers mostly buy what they're used to, and a game where the main character is a pair of guns in a dark-brown world is more recognizable than something like zeno clash. The majority will pick what they're familiar wit...

... Seems like a childish reasoning, but it's your money.

I'd judge a purchase on the gameplay. If DX11 is a big enough issue, then I'll just wait till it gets patched in (EA's game prices also drop very quickly).
... but wanting the game to fail just because of DX11? Kinda extreme.

Though, I won't be buying it either unless if it gets a ridiculous steam sale. Gameplay just isn't all that appealing.

^ Err... sniping in TF2 is pretty challenging, and it has none of those fancy physics.

Anyways, maybe I missed something, but where does it state that they removed sniping? Just seems like the gameplay and/or maps will hinder sniper camps. I don't think their view on sniping is that all snipers are pentazmin-dosed campers, rather, they're trying to reduce those type of players (i.e. all players that camp, snipers are just used as poster-boys for campers). Or at least,...

If you don't sit around in a corner being a douche, then this change doesn't apply to you.

All I can gather from the article is that players can't just camp a bottleneck and one-hit everything that moves.

Well, I think the pre-order is worth it seeing as it comes with Metro2033 and a kickass TF2 bandana (latter is for steam pre-orders)

Though that depends on if you don't already own Metro and actually care about TF2 hats.

No mention of MassEffect 2's DLCs, but can't really argue with what's there.

^ The developpers (or rather publishers, since they're the penny squeezing blokes) will abuse the user-base if the user-base allows it.

Case in point: CoD
If a large group of consumers support a defective product, then a publisher will just keep the factory rolling.

Same applies to DLC. With the advent of the current-gen consoles and online becoming a big part, devs started supporting their games with DLC. Perhaps the initial intention was benign,...

Limitless cusotmization doesn't equal an awesome game, but it sure as hell is an indication of one.

SplashDamage knows how to make good multiplayer.... on PC at least. Though QuakeWars wasn't exactly too shabby.

^ Your post looked kinda silly with the agrees, so I decided to disagree to prove your point.

Though the leak appears to be for the PC version only? ... Considering it's a multiplat game, I don't see what Darkness was trying to do asside from being provocative.

You won't buy used EA games?

I wonder if EA considers that as 'Mission Accomplished'

EDIT: I believe THQ has a pass for Homefront (or were considering it... not sure)
I don't know how EA handles pricing for console, but PC games published by EA drop in price like a brick.
DeadSpace2 is down to $40, regular price. =S

Though I'd assume that people would sell those used games at a cheaper price to off-set the...

Well, some guy over at steam forums made an app that modifies Crysis2's config. http://forums.steampowered.... .

I've been enjoying it a lot more with the motion-blur, bloom and mouse-acceleration all disabled.
