If FOX slams a game, then that actually makes me want to buy it.
Gotta say, so far they've recommended me some great games, including GTA and MassEffect.
Am I the only gamer here that thinks BlackOps was actually decent?
It probably isn't worthy of being in 1 of 8 households, but considering the game-time I've gotten from it, it wasn't exactly a bad buy.
=/
Jumping isn't manly.
A real man plows through any interfering obstacle.
The japanese know what I'm talking about.
(Warning: Video not safe for anyone.)
Reality is often stranger than fiction.
If you were to make a story about terrorists somehow attacking the U.S. under their very nose, master-minded by someone dwelling in caves, and the US declaring war on the premise of WMDs that turn out to be fake while fighting another war and simulatenously trying to find a bearded waldo in another country... that'd be considered a far-fetched tale at the start of the millenium.
Ofcourse, the past decade is a bit mo...
Why is it poorly thought out?
Homefront is trying to push for an emotional narrative, and the youtube ad sure did a good job of stirring some emotion.
As for the brown genericness, meh... hoping Brink changes that. =/
Yea, I doubt the battlefield series has any serious fanbase on the PC. Just look at BC2.
/s
Although, battlefield is a massive-multiplayer online game.
Though I do hope Dice wrestles with the tech to bump it up to 32 players. =/
I'm going to guess it means smaller maps.
If I had to guess even more, I'd say the player count is due to map size.
64 players requires big maps to accommodate, and when you consider destruction and all the other variables, that might be a bit too much for memory on the consoles.
Decreasing the map size should decrease the memory requirement, resulting in maps which are probably about the size of BadCompany.
Otherwise, number of player...
... Why not call it Battlefield 3:Modern Combat?
O.o
Putting BadCompany in there doesn't make much sense (that, and I believe BadCompany is now it's own franchise isn't it?)
The fact that melee isn't a one-hit-kill makes me want to suck off whoever it is that decided to do that.
I still won't buy the game for $60 though.
:<
That's like saying that Battlefield and Crysis are made by the same guys. =)
Homefront and Metro are by the same publisher (THQ) and the free Metro is a promotion from them in order to market both HF and Metro (quite smart actually as it exposes fans of either game to the other, as well as beefing up the SP-value of the pre-order)
Graphics on PC should be better, but it's the unreal engine. So I wouldn't expect a graphical beast, but it should run...
Because they are fanboy fuel.
They said its better than CoD's multiplayer.
CoD might have an edge in SP (perhaps?) or maybe extra value due to Zombies/DeadOps.
You know, even if you keep going into every Homefront article and repeating that, it won't come true.
A game you like gets a score you don't like so you bash another game.
Typical rage response. =)
It was a cold winter.
"You're a fool, like all PC exclusive gamers."
... Jeesh, leave a little bit of arrogance for us too, ey?
The figure you reported is from Steam. Steam is a digital distribution service, one of many on PC (arguable the most popular). So the actual revenue might be bigger, but meh... I doubt the PC generates enough software revenue to match three consoles combined though. =/
Including Hardware might change things... but that'd just be getting d...
I think people aren't bothering reading what his reasoning was.
His argument is that console games have huge budgets and require a hefty amount of sales to break even. Smaller mobile games however, are cheaper/easier to make and therefore are smaller risks.
The next-gen is going to amplify the problem of cost even more when games start coming with more detail (graphics, animation, voice acting, etc).
So in a sense, he's right. It's just go...
Isn't that just Portal:FirstSlice (Which is just a fancy word for Demo)?
Me no thinky that is the full game.
Not really. Their issue is that players can figure out what they need to do, they just lack the reflexes to execute.
So they want to put a heavier emphasis on puzzle-solving rather than twitchy portal shooting. I'm assuming you checked the videos to figure out what you had to do, rather than how to time/execute it.
So... the Meet the Scout trailer was based on a pseudo-true story?
Though I like this shorter version better. The 'NO' really gets to me.
