im thinking about getting the Playstation Eye but I'm not sure. The price is right but I've gotten mixed reviews and impressions of the device. Also, I'm curious what the purpose of the device is outside of video editing and Little Big Planet. I primarily want it for LBP. I would appreciate n4g impressions of the device. The deal is only today!
personally, I wouldnt like the idea of paying for Psn if I didnt have to. the more features sony adds the more it seems "fair" to start charging for online access. However, I believe ads will more than likely pay for our online before we do. I think too many people would be opposed. i hope there is not a future charge (crosses fingers).

The servers shutting down was not from "idiot" Americans you ignorant prick. From kotaku:
"Media Molecule lets us know that, no, we're not losing our minds, the servers for LBP are down. They took them down about eight hours after they went live to avoid "glitching issues" some people were ...
No, your the one thats an idiot. thereapersson made an observation and a correct one at that. Little Big Planet is the biggest game of the year for the PS3. He even owns a PS3 and I know his avatar well enough to know he isn't an xbox fanboy. Glad to know you checked out the link thoroughly. If you had Little Big Planet yourself you would know that problems logging into the server was not an immediate problem. I couldn't log into the servers after 8 o' clock Eastern time. Logically, most of t...
I haven't been able to access the online portion of the game yet... however I am very impressed with the creation tools and single player. With that said, there are usually problems with the online part of games at launch. This is coming from someone who owns Socom: Confrontation. I'm waiting for the issues to get fixed before I play it again. I think the problem with LBP are more minor and caused by volume of people playing it for the first time. Not a problem for me.
I agree. All this talk about piracy on the 360 is overblown. Most people are aware of the consequences of cheating and pirating. No one wants a bricked console and "most" people appreciate Xbox Live multiplayer. It will be interesting to see how many reports there are of 360's bricking because of mods. At least there is a consequence. Watch out for the Fall update all of you "360" pirates:-p Jk
I purchased Dead Space for PS3 from Toys R' Us the day it was released...I don't think there is a conspiracy theory.
If you want to argue which version is superior, look no further than the PC. The graphical differences between the PC and the consoles is far greater than the difference between Xbox 360 and PS3. I was not trying to argue for "console superiority." What ever version I happen to get, I know it will be good, regardless.

Creating believable natural environments has always been a challenge for game designers, but Far Cry 2 delivers one of the most immersive natural expanses in gaming. Real-time shadows constantly move in the wind, high dynamic range lighting effects recreate the harsh strength of the sub-Saharan sun, and terrifically detailed character models all help to create a strong sense of place and personality. The game looks the best on PC, offering greatly detailed textures, a smooth an...
I don't understand why everyone is writing this game off. The last game wasn't bad, why should this game be any worse? I think certain people are sour over the fact the 360 version is getting "exclusive" content. I'm calling those people out. There is no reason this game shouldn't be on par with the last. According to metacritic, Tomb Raider: Legend received an 80% average. Not bad at all. Underworld has the same publisher and same developer. No reason it should be poorly received. ...
Above the review scores, Metacritic has the following to say:
"All critic scores are converted to a 100-point scale. If a critic does not indicate a score, we assign a score based on the general impression given by the text of the review."
I am not saying I agree with the score, but technically they reserve the right to do this. Nobody (no gamer) cares about Variety's review anyway. Ignore it.
I don't see Sony going away from the hardware business. PlayStation is ubiquitous with videogames for a reason. They make high quality hardware and produce some of the best games anywhere. Considering PSN has become such a success story and HOME hasn't seen widespread release, it is too early to write them off period. Even people that dislike the brand shouldn't wish the end of Playstation. Competition is what gives us great games like Little Big Planet and Fable II. Remove that competition a...
I'm disappointed with this news as a KOTOR fan. Star Wars: The Old Republic is not KOTOR. It will not have an engaging single player campaign. It will not have an exciting dialog tree where your choices have far reaching consequences. Nope, in the "sequel" you are one in a million that isn't significant in the least. Not to mention the visuals look far worse than even KOTOR 1. Last but not least, this game is PC exclusive for the moment. Outside of the Agency MMO from Sony, no one s...
I understand where your coming from. It "feels" different from the first game and you can tell. Whether or not you like the change, only time can answer. My first impression of multiplayer wasn't favorable. However, I played co-op and liked it a lot more. Co-op is chaotic but it is organized chaos. You need every person on your team to survive. I also expect single player to 1up Reistance 1. Don't give up on the game yet.
My first impression of Resistance 2 was more or less favorable. I understand the game is a beta but I was not blown away like I thought I would be. If it wasn't for co-op I would be disappointed. It plays similar to Team Fortress II in a few ways. There is the medic that heals and "steals" life from enemies, spec ops that snipes and drops ammo and the commando/soldier that is the most defensively and offensively powerful. If you don't cooperate you will die, and very quickly at tha...
Would you? Hell no. All of my current games wouldn't work. Most PS3 games are larger than a standard DVD; it doesn't matter if most of the space is uncompressed textures and audio. The PS3 is selling just fine and I don't see why we even need to have this discussion. I wouldn't buy a blu-ray less player, and anyone half-informed about the PS3's features wouldn't either.
Sony isn't known for advertising their games like Microsoft. Granted LBP is a great game by any standard, you can't say that it will sell x amount or y amount. Its not a sequel, hasn't seen extensive advertising (yet) and looks "kiddy." Time will tell whether or not it achieves mass market appeal. I am not saying it will sell poorly, but you can't claim one will sell oodles more than another. I can't tell the future and neither can you. With that said, I will purchase LBP and Fable ...
Multi-console owner and undecided on which version to get. I was leaning towards the PS3 as my library isn't as big.
Remember the Toys R' Us deal? Buy 2 one free. Cheapassgamer.com figured out a way you can swap out the two non-free games to get two games you want that aren't out yet. Here's the link:

Too many multiplayer games coming out:-p I hope that Call of Duty 5 is everything that 4 was and then some. Hope I get into the beta to test drive.
It is one thing to say a PC version is planned...however to lie about it and then release an enhanced version with exclusive content is shameful. This better not happen a second time or else Epic will lose a lot of face value. If they are working on a PC version I feel they are diverting resources that otherwise could make the 360 version even better. Don't screw early adopters and release a PC version with exclusive content. Better yet, don't release a PC version at all if you've said multip...
