Being as how your a xbl silver member you should really pay for a membership and get demos on time rather than a week or two later. For less than the cost of a game you could get live. It seems you also have a PS3 so its a hard excuse to say you can't afford it.

If the PS3 lasts as long as the PS2 and PSone before it, it might win the console war when everyone has moved on to PS4, WiiHD and Xbox 720. Why does it matter? I'm not sure. People need to get over the fact that 360 nor PS3 will win. The Wii is destined to that fate. Why does it matter anyway? As long as we have great games to play, I don't care what console I purchase.

I had no problem purchasing the Scorpion suit, however this crosses the line. How many times does EA think they can take my money? How about release some stuff for free and earn some brownie points. This nickel and diming crap is not going to work. I would have thought that Burnout Paradise and its success taught EA a lesson; release free stuff and people will buy your game however old and never sell it (and increase used game sales). This is the wrong move.

Generally, I hold ign.com reviews to the highest esteem. Sure they have a few screw-ups but I can understand where the reviewer is coming from. In this review I am surprised they are so critical of it; granted it is a new experience and fresh. In playing the demo...which I did 5 times, not once did the experience grow stale. I suppose it goes to show that metacritic really does get it right. The reviews seem to be in the 80's and 90's.

It's the #1 reason I stopped playing GeOW 1. I didn't stop playing because I was horrible; on the contrary. The multiplayer was incredibly unbalanced and not fun. Sprinting half the map for the shotgun, sprinting half the map for enemies, rolling and then shooting from the hip is not what I think is fun. The only people complaining about the multiplayer are the cheaters with Lan switches and host advantage that would wipe the board in every match. I'm happy I can finally enjoy GeOW multiplaye...

On topic: Left 4 Dead should be an excellent game and hopefully improve on the co-op experience. You shouldn't hate on it b4 you play it.
PS3 fanboys seem to be jealous of the PC/Xbox 360 exclusive. 181 votes already and the score is 2.8 for user scores. The story on n4g is only 40 minutes old and the trolls are already on this game in full force. This game is AAA on account of Valve and their know how in making games that are fun. Reviews will say as much; early impressions have already confirmed this.

Though I am a spiteful Wii owner thats angry there haven't been any worthwhile games to buy in the last 6 months (not including World of Goo for WiiWare). Amazon has a deal on them for $140 instead of $150. It's still a lot of money but a little bit more palatable of a purchase. Originally, I was keen on purchasing a 60 gb hard drive (for full game installs) but there isn't a data cable for that version. I guess the 60 gb is exclusively for arcade users who want an upgrade.
