It seems that if anyone comes out and says one console or another is better than another they get disagrees. If your in a primarily Xbox thread you are not welcome with words like "PS3 Rocks." Likewise if you go to a PS3 thread, the mere mention of Xbox 360 gets you lynched, as there are a greater number of Sony fanboys (at least on this site). Every system has its fans and fanboys. Its better to be a gamer, straight up.
The DRM only allows for one. EA said they were amending the manuals to the game to fix the typo. Pretty bad any way you look at it. Pirating the game however won't make DRM go away. Don't buy the game if you don't like the DRM. This will send a better message to EA that DRM hurts legit purchases.
Until then, there is no way to say which game looks/plays better. Personally, both games are day one purchases for me. I loved the prequels and played the heck out of them. I think it is pointless to debate which game is superior in X way or Y way until we know. A rumor is just that...a rumor. Judging by what I saw as a Qore user, I'm pretty sure Resistance 2 will live up to hype. Likewise, Gears of War 2 should top the original. Lets be excited two amazing games are coming out within days of...
Sticky made a valid point. I also liked your sarcasm StephanieBBB:-) Little Big Planet has infinite replay value but how long will most people play it? We won't know until the game comes out and then some. I know I will be addicted to it like crack. Though I admit I'm more of the hardcore type gamer. Little Big Habit is what I'm going to call it;)
Madden: People aren't over GeoW 1 yet... 2 years after it came out with plenty of games along the way. I own both systems and Fallout 3 is at the top of my list. Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, LBP, Socom: Confrontation, Left for Dead and Fable 2 are also must haves. I don't understand why people make assumptions that are so off base. You have no clue how much time people will spend on any of the games I listed. Neither do I. I guess we will find out on account we can't tell the future like so...

I'm looking forward to all the Wii has to offer this holiday. I still have Galaxy, Okami and Metroid Prime 3 to finish. Random thought: If Resident Evil 5 releases on the Wii I might choose that version. Anyone with a PS3 or 360 & Wii feel that way?
Seriously...how are there not enough games for the Xbox 360 for the holiday? Last time I checked, there were too many for both PS3 and Xbox 360. The question is: will the Wii have enough games for the holiday? This seems much more valid and rational. Fanboy trolls need to leave this thread btw...

How do you know the average consumer "knows" the 40 Gig PS3 was being phased out? They didn't. Also, most people didn't know about the Xbox price drop until the most recent Sunday ad. You are making some pretty big assumptions. Most people don't read up on video games like you, me or anyone else on this site. We are a fairly niche demographic of consumers. If this wasn't true, bad games wouldn't sell well because "we" the informed wouldn't buy them.

On topic: I'm pretty sure the next xbox console will come out in 2011 and support for 360 will not be dropped. The 360 is profitable and there isn't any reason to drop it. It would have been nice if this game was offered as downloadable through the PSN. The Yakuza games bring back nostalgia of Shenmue:-( One reason I like them, among many.
I'll be checking my email compulsively until I get the confirmation email. I don't mind starting the beta a few days later than the pre-order crowd. Many of the issues that were prevalent in the beginning of the beta shouldn't be there for Qore users. Or at least I hope. Either way, good news.
I'm curious when the exclusive European Xbox 360 controller update will come Stateside... One of my controllers broke and I'm hesitant to buy another controller until the improved D-pad controller comes out. :-p

Look no farther than Chrome and Android. Google also wants a piece of the operating system market with an online server/virtual OS. Entering the games business seems like a rational decision. You have to wonder how Google hopes to pull it all off. As mentioned above, Google might become the new Microsoft. Expect a "Googlebox" in 2018...(a joke but you have to wonder what they are capable of).
The colors are NOT muted and it looks fine. I still don't think Pure looks better than Motorstorm 1 regardless. Personally, I don't like the "trick" system Pure employs as it makes everything feel arcade like. I know I'll be buying Motorstorm 2....
The comparisons are alway very biased. For whatever reason the PS3 version always comes out as washed out or having less color. Being a PS3 and Xbox 360 owner I don't notice much of a difference. Even if there is a difference...
All the features are high end and something you would expect from a more expensive device.It seems the mic only pairs with the PS3 with USB cord. Not that it makes a difference in my opinion of the headset; would have been nice if it wasn't. First day buy regardless, along with Socom: Confrontation. I'm waiting for the Qore beta for Socom to be announced...Hopefully soon.
Reported as offensive. I don't know what your privates have anything to do with the controller. Not only is it ugly, and third party but it looks awkward and carpal tunnel inducing. I'm sticking with my Dual Shock 3 thank you very much. See? I didn't talk about something offensive in reference to controller preference. I might also add that I was a fan of the "Duke" controller for the original Xbox...big deal. I don't need a big controller to prove anything about myself.
I was excited about Socom: Confrontation before I even knew a headset would be bundled. It would seem that we will finally get a high quality, official headset. The features seem too good to be true. I would pay $60 for the headset without game.

No one was hurt. That is the important thing. What makes this newsworthy? It would seem that whoever posted this has an agenda. People like to hate, and it would seem n4g is an outlet for that on xbox. It doesn't matter if you dislike the brand, however the constant stream of negativity reeks of insecurity. Its unfortunate that a "news" site has become such a haven for fanboyism of the worst kind.
The loading issues are kinda long, along with customization of armor/weapons for your commando/mercenary. I didn't experience much of the lag other people have commented about.
