This doesn't surprise me as the PC title was developed as a sort of demo long ago. THQ picked up the rights to the game...and it has Wii waggle...so therefore its full price. Since the Wii doesn't have demos you could use the free-pc version to see if you like the core concept of the game b4 you buy it on the Wii.
I just signed up for the beta. Good thing about the service is that you don't need a media center pc. I have one but it doesn't work altogether well. This should be interesting...
FYI: the software will eventually set you back 30 bones...:-(
If it is worth its while I might buy it. Try before you buy I guess.
I knew there was a reason I waited to buy a DS! Looking forward to hearing more about it.
Side note: Technically I have a DS, but my fiance always steals it from me:-(
GeoW 1 did poorly in sales on the PC. There is no reason to port GeOW 2 as there won't be a return in investment. Ask yourself, does it make sense to port #2 when it will only be pirated and sell poorly? PC gamers are a sensitive niche group. If there is any perceived or real flaw to the game, its damned to piracy. Look no further than the prequel. There was a problem with the game and people pirated it. Its too easy. DRM? Not a reason to pirate. Publishers are learning their lesson.

I'm sorry, but why are all the Sony fanboy's trolling Xbox news? If anything it makes you look envious. The post shouldn't be about who's console is better.
On topic: I can't wait for the Dashboard update with Netflix and now Starz. Downloadable TV shows for free (like it should be)...awesome. As a Netflix subscriber I have been most looking forward to this.
Perhaps another game we can look forward to:-) One can hope. It looked awesome on the Xbox, I wonder what it will look like on 360...
Playing Wipeout HD makes me regret never playing it on the PSone or psp. I see now what I had been missing out on! Great game with awesome controls and visuals. Nice review.
I hear you on the enjoying both part. My two most recent purchases were Duke Nukem 3D and Wipeout HD:-P Let me know when you get either one as I haven't played multiplayer yet. I'm a Wipeout noob but not all that bad.
On subject: It doesn't surprise me that Duke Nukem 3D did so well. Its a classic and should be appreciated. I hope that Mega Man 9 does just as well so we see more classic type games being released.
I don't get any kind of motion sickness. However, I can appreciate the quality in games that might do it. I have Marathon and Duke Nukem 3D on XBLA and those are games that could make a good number of people loss it...especially Marathon. Games with motion blur could also induce motion sickness. Oddly enough the games I thought were the worst offenders (in modern games) in terms of motion sickness were third person games Uncharted and Mass Effect.
I find the article a little biased frankly. Why does only one console have to dominate over the holiday? If I remember correctly, each console sold millions of units last Christmas. Why would this year be any different? All three consoles should sell in access of a million. I sense bias when the author uses examples of Too Human and hardware failure to negate the success the Xbox platform will have this holiday. The game came out in August and (most) everyone is over it, whether they loved i...
I have a lot of nostalgia playing this game as a kid:-P Which version of Mega Man 9 am I supposed to get (360, PS3, or Wii)?
That means I buy it on the 25th. I've been waiting for the patch, and therefore holding out. The PS3 pad is better for this game; I've tried both. Also, I appreciate the added value of trophies. yay
I just wasted 20 seconds of my life....
On topic: the video has nothing to do with the Wii
I really wanted to enjoy the demo but it didn't show enough to warrant a purchase. The similarities to Star Wars: Force Unleashed is uncanny although I give the edge to Unleashed. The graphics are great but the game play is too vanilla. The character I played as felt over powered...on hard difficulty...and the level design left much desired. Perhaps this game might be a good rental, but not a $60 purchase from what the demo shows. If developers release a poor demo, how does this turn into rea...
Wake up will you? Murder is not exclusive to any country and its naive to think so. Around the world their are cities with higher crime rates than others. Rural Wisconsin is not one of those places. Reported as offensive.
The graphics (textures especially) look amazing. I believe its too soon to say what game looks better, although we will find out soon. Resistance 2 seems to have taken a page out of NG2 in that bodies stay around and don't disappear. Definitely adds to the immersion, and kudos to that.
There have been saw-type guns before but this one takes the cake. Holding down "R2" for "massive damage" sounds fun too ;-)Too many games and too little time to play them...
The article brief mentioned at the time of posting that PS3 and Xbox 360 had 15% share in the poll. The article makes its way to n4g.com in less than an hour and the PS3 is at 23%, the Xbox 360 version at 21% while the Wii drops to 49%. I would never think that n4g.com would influence the polls.../sarcasm. Anything to bring the event of a Wii version coming out. Lets do an HD TimeSplitters 4 please :-)
I wonder though whether or not there will be a large serving of DLC...If they already had a significant part of most of the "wastelands" completed, it would make sense. The textures (and levels) are too large in this game to fit DVD 9 and Microsoft knows it. They should make an exception for this game and allow 3-4 discs. I have the option of buying it for either console...I think I will buy the PS3 version to send a message. The article doesn't mention anything about blurry texture...

Good to know the frame rate is good. Otherwise, another game I won't be buying.
