The build shown was probably early. Overall, I liked what was shown. It didn't blow me away, but neither did the first and the second as I finished them after the "next gen" began. I will always love the art direction. With that said, I don't think people should get their hopes down, however they need to be realistic about what was shown. Honestly, who takes these rewards seriously? It was obvious GTAIV was going to win even before the show. Why? More of the mainstream audience (that probably wasn't watching anyway) could recognize it from the rest of the contenders.

Actually, I bet you don't even own GeOW 2... Ever since the title update, matchmaking has been much faster; on par with other multiplayer games almost. I played 5 hours last night without any problems. Guess it works for me.

I don't want to rain on the parade, however I would like to know why Resistance 2 and LBP didn't sell very well. I know I did my part. Patience is a virtue, though not one you should expect to embody in a video game. Luckily I have GeOW 2 and Left 4 Dead. Games essential to every 360 library. If your frustrated with matchmaking, try joining a party of 3 or larger...it helps, promise. If you need someone to hit up multiplayer with, send me a friend invite.
Hardcore should buy a PS3 or 360 (preferably both). Either is a good choice as each has an abundance of games. 360 fail rate used to be a good reason to not pick up a 360, however with the new Jasper chips I think the point is moot. I would wait until after the Holiday 360s are sold out to pick one up...just to be sure.
Casuals should pick up a Wii. If your a hardcore gamer and own a Wii (like I do) you have a handful of games to keep you occupied; so not the best choice. Conduit...
People seem to forget that 2008 was supposed to be the year of the Playstation 3. The year is almost over and the 360 will be on par in sales with the PS3. The PS3 arguably had better exclusives for the year, yet has been outsold the past few months. The way I look at it, price is the most important factor in 2009. If Sony is unable to drop the price of the PS3, the 360 will continue to outsell it. Exclusives aren't a significant factor; evidence of this are "poor" sales of LBP and ...
Halo 3 came out last year so it wouldn't count anyway. Your opinion is your opinion though many people were surprised GeOW2 didn't make the list. Keep in mind your top 10 is different. I wouldn't include Rock Band 2. Don't diss 360 fans (excluding fanboys) btw, they did nothing to you.
