Why do people get bent out of shape over a score?
Consider a couple of things. Multiplayer is separate from single player and many reviews judge a game solely by the single player experience.
Following this logic, if many reviewers are calling the single player so-so and short, your going to have many reviews that weight the game overall more harshly. NOTE: this is not my opinion as I haven't played anything but the beta.

I'm not sure why but the picture of the ignorant mom and her kid makes me angry. The mom, obviously doesn't monitor her child's game and online activities and the kid looks rather stupid playing the victim card. That and he was beaten with the ugly stick. Cruel but true.
It was a little awkward when I first started to use it too. Think of it this way, it wasn't easy to use a dual analog controller at first was it? Nope. Give it a little time and you'll improve :-)
To quote an old EA Sports slogan: "If its in the game, its in the game.". If the code is in the game, its in the game to manipulate. You might take that interpretation. However, you in effect cheat the trophy/achievement system. Hard earned or hardly earned?
I don't understand why some people would cheat themselves out of the experience of beating the game on hardcore...
I may be a hardcore DS1/2 fan, but I wouldn't do it regardless.
If I didn't get any game but Skyrim I would be happy.
The infamous PS3 list...why the need? In every anticipated games list for x360, exclusive or not, there is one person that always feels the need to include PS3 exclusives. By now, everyone knows what is coming out on all platforms but the Wii. Thanks for nothing.

Dragon Age 2 is one of the games listed :-) Otherwise I agree. Its going to be an expensive year for everyone. I wish I had time to play them all...:-p

My impressions:
The controls are quite improved over Killzone 2 and Move support is arguably the best yet. The graphics are clearly better and the map is bright, detailed and quite big. The same multiplayer modes are back, although, why change what isn't broken? Overall, I would say I'm impressed. I already have my copy ...
NGP is pretty scalable. PS3 games will obviously be more powerful, although NGP should be more than capable to handle a mildly scaled down version of any PS3 game. I wouldn't worry too much.
Describe "full DualShock experience?" The only thing that NGP lacks feature wise to a dualshock controller are the L2 and R2 buttons and rumble. NGP has an accelerometer, gyroscope, and 2 touch screen. In my humble opinion it has more than enough methods of input.
The more I hear about NGP the more excited I get. I would love to be able to sync my PS3 game saves into the cloud and continue to play the same game on NGP. I hope thats a possibility as that would be awesome.
They can't prove you wrong. Never mind Xbox Live has multiple "deals of the week" this week and next. Never mind they have video segments that are free to watch and previews built into the dash you can watch or choose not to. Logic doesn't win on this site. I eventually learned this. Non-fanboys eventually do. I am an Xbox Live and PSN plus subscriber...Oh noez, thats sacrilegious! There are positives to both services? Blasphemy!
Considering all the similarities it appears to be a spiritual sequel. Its too bad From Software couldn't purchase the rights to the name Demon's Souls. There are still too many questions. Can't wait for this game all the same :-)
I still need to get the rest of the trophies in Demon's Souls...the second playthrough really bumps up the difficulty.
It shouldn't matter but it does to many, many people on this website. You will not find the level of fanaticism anywhere else.

Completely agree with your assessment of fixes. Demon's Souls is a gem, don't get me wrong, but it could use a more developed story and better multiplayer (pvp) elements. But thats what spiritual successors/pseudo sequels are for so I'm glad they are making improvements.

I'm not one to turn down Dead Space anything. I say bring it. If Dead Space comes to the NGP, its one more reason to get it.
On a side note, I wish the Dead Space 2 game on iOS would also come to Android (Droid 1 owner).

Agreed. The game isn't out and no one has played the single player game. For now, we only have reviewers respected and less so, to give us their OPINIONS.
Not everyone is going to like every aspect or even most aspects of any game. I for one appreciate the K3 multiplayer beta and it convinced me to buy the game. I bought Move for Killzone 3 and it plays better than any game that currently supports it.
