Quoting from the article: "there is said to be support for an SD card which have up to 2TBs of space with the SDXC format."
That would be news to me. 32 GB cards are expensive enough.
Where to begin...
First of all you state that PC gaming is dying by reason that 30 MMO's are coming out/have come out in 2011. Not the best example of why PC gaming is thriving. If your not a fan of MMO's and/or a console gamer unfamiliar with the genre your point has zero meaning for many, many people.
PC Gaming is NOT for dummies? The ability to make a PC, update drivers and bios, overclock, etc is NOT something a lot of people want to spend time do...
It would seem the Witcher 2 would benefit from being a Xbox or Playstation console exclusive. I have strong doubts though that the game will ever make it to release. Either way, I hope to get this game on the PC once I build/buy an efficient enough rig.
I'm of the same opinion, and I don't understand myself. Perhaps the insanely rich can only find happiness in money...
Either way, I hope the developers and their lawyers are able to collect all 100 million in damages. I bet she never gave one thought about the 70 employees that lost their jobs. Perhaps if justice is served she'll have to sell a house or two. This news only made me dislike her even more than I already do.
I work for a global hotel chain and sorry to say most hotel's hold on to your credit card for an indefinite period of time. My advice: call to have them delete it after you've checked out and your card has been billed for your stay.
Personally, I don't have a problem with Sony having my cc on file unless they're security isn't up to stuff (which is now in question). Until they're security measures improve, I won't have any more cc info attached to...
This game definitely popped up on my radar. Gorgeous and made by Tri-Ace. Glad I have a 3DS. I currently only have Rayman 3D. Looking forward to all the games coming out for it this summer/fall.
That is too funny. Thanks for sharing that
I didn't watch the video. I'm at work along with its crummy DSL internet, haha. Nice article though. You put this game on my radar. I'm still waiting for the perfect game to take advantage of Kinect. Dance Central is pretty good. Hopefully this game further justifies spending $150 bones.
@sak500
I wish clicking the agree button and bubble up added a monetary reward for your rebuttal. He probably didn't learn his/her lesson, but then again its better someone challenged his/her ignorance than left it alone.
Did you play the Kinect version or the Move version? If you had the chance to play both, which did you prefer? I have Kinect and Move.
Looking forward to this game. My first fitness game was EA Sports Active 2 for the 360 (paid $100 for it) and wasn't impressed. I debated over which version to get and picked the wrong version it would seem. I had a lot of trouble getting Kinect to detect my push ups and a lot of other exercises. I hope this game is great or I give up on ...
Excellent post :-) Very fun read.
They should add minecraft to Steam's catalog. I might buy it then. I like having all of my games tied to one service and Steam is the way to go for PC.
I feel like mincraft will always be in a state of perpetual development... Its hard for me to put money down on a game that's essentially a work in progress. I played the alpha build within browser and thought it was fun. Perhaps I'll change my mind to purchase when there's a final release date.
You list a few games which have their equals on multiplatform. Crysis 2 compares favorably to Killzone 2/3. Need for Speed Shift to GT5. Castlevania to GOW3. Uncharted 2 is the only game you listed without equal. GT5 can look excellent at times and ugly in others (backgrounds, aliasing, in car detail in many cars). Also, the load time between races and online especially is excruciatingly long. When you have great looking multiplatform games that compare favorably on the 360 its hard to say th...
I believe the new controller will still look much like the Wii controller.
The big reason why the Wii was successful was because it was so approachable for non-gamers and casuals. The controller looks just like a TV remote control. Why would Nintendo risk alienating all of the new "gamers" with a controller that looks much more hardcore? Also, the price of a touch screen on every controller is also going to be cost prohibitive unless Nintendo is going to use re-purp...
Length was the only thing I was worried about with Portal 2. Glad its much longer than I thought it would be.
I'm looking forward to unlocking trophies and steam achievements at the same time :-)
No one knows yet, but if I had a guess and money to gamble I would say AMD/ATI. The Wii uses AMD/ATI and an IBM processor. I've read articles speculating that the Wii 2 would have a multi-core PowerPC architecture similar to the 360. Of course, everything thats been rumored so far be all smoke and mirrors.
I didn't know that, haha. I did a quick search of Dieter Rams, and saw at once his influence on Apple's design philosophy.
Arguably, the Wii is quite attractive in design. It would be even more so were it more powerful and could serve as an all in one entertainment hub. I'm optimistic about Wii 2 for the reason that Nintendo could learn from their mistakes and the competition. I'm also pessimistic that Nintendo will try to differentiate too much and ignore the...
It will be a waste if they don't make this game Kinect compatible. I want a freaking hardcore Kinect game.
I'm guilty of commenting without reading the article. :-p The concept intentionally mimics the Mac mini. Good design, although Nintendo will definitely try to differentiate their offering from Apple.
I disagree. Next gen consoles will be able to to play BF3. The PS3 and 360 are 4 and 5 years old respectively and run games that only PC elitists would fault for graphics. The majority of gamers at large (console gamers) don't look at Uncharted 2, Killzone 2/3 or Crysis 2 and think, "this looks like crap." Sorry, but true. You can fault console games for having a slower framerate, lower native resolution, and lower quality textures but that doesn't distract from the big pict...
