I don't understand the Internet Explorer hate. IE 9.0 is a modern, and fast browser that keeps up with the competition. Bing is a personal choice. I use Google and Bing. They each have their strengths.

I hope the update includes a browser, better file and game management system, more music codex's, and last but not least full kinetic menu support. The kinect could navigate the current Xbox UI fine for the most part. Its pointless having to use a second UI for Kinect; ...

I think you got it mostly right. However, take out the 360 fanboy part, you hurt my feelings (sarcasm). I game almost equally across both platforms and wouldn't mind if cross game chat came to PS3. I accept that both online services are different and exceptional in their own way. I'm not "craving" for x game chat on PS3, however a useful feature is a useful feature.

Thats funny because the reviews that I've seen so far on metacritic aren't flattering at all. Perhaps the reviews will pick up, but as of right now its getting a mixed reception.

I played the first game and it was hard as heck. The game is extremely frantic and reminded me a tad of Ninja Gaiden. Overall, a great game. I expect Vampire Smile to live up to the greatness of its prequel. The production values seem to be a little bit more so I hope I'm right.

I think the point I was trying to make is that its too easy to say that the industry will implode based on entirely different circumstances from 1983. I'm not saying there isn't any merit to the comparison, but the gaming industry today is an entirely different beast.

Gamers may grow bored of COD or Madden, however numbers don't lie. Call of Duty Black Ops has sold more than Call of Duty MW 2 which used to be the largest multiconsole release ever. On any given day...

I think your being a tad unrealistic. If your going to essentially stream gigs of game data, you might as well stream the whole game. Your basically looking at a service akin to OnLive. I'm not sure freeing up a little extra space on your hard drive is worth the stuttering mess the games would become. Not to mention that you can just as easily redownload your old content and delete whatever content you don't use.

Saving games saves in the cloud is a nice addition. Be ...

The article doesn't explore too much what the industry will evolve into. Instead it fear mongers and offers a history lesson. In many respects, the gaming industry is completely different than it was in 1983. It wasn't the multi-billion dollar industry that it is now. The market simply wasn't mature enough nor resilient to stay afloat. You could very well make the argument that consumer confusion, high prices, and lack of great games brought about the crash. Granted its much more ...

I hope that Infinity Blade comes to XBLA/PSN or NGP. Its a fun game on iPhone that I wouldn't mind buying again just to play on a larger screen or with buttons.

There's no reason the game couldn't come to NGP. It has a touch screen and therefore could be played exactly the same or with buttons.

Fortunately for Nintendo they sell enough software and hardware to absorb much of the damage caused by piracy. While its nice that Nintendo made the 3DS backwards compatible, I could see the R4 being used as a backdoor to play non legit copies of 3DS games. If this becomes a reality, perhaps we won't see a 3DS lite with DS backwards compatibility. Regardless, Nintendo and gamers lose.

I'm more than happy with everything I've seen so far. Link looks great and the world is more vibrant and detailed. Next, Nintendo needs to re-release Majora's Mask. 3D could be used to great effect in that game.

The game isn't the best looking by a long shot but isn't ugly. The visuals are a huge upgrade from Dragon Age Origins. The demo is quite good; I played through it twice.

Edit: @ Gargamel- The story and game play are great. Defiantly worth your time. Plus the first game is about 40-50 hours in length :-)

Techland definitely makes good looking games, judging from Dead Island and their past catalog.

If there are more games on the way then I think I just might send my broken Wii to Nintendo to fix. I still need to play Donkey Kong and Metroid M. I would be more excited by the announcement of the Wii 2 and games for that.

Dragon Age doesn't play anything like Mass Effect. If you didn't know the two games were both made by Bioware, you would have no comparison outside of the new dialog wheel in DA2 that mimics Mass Effect more closely.

There are lots of dragons in Dragon Age. Perhaps thats why its called Dragon Age?

Also, Oblivion is the last game you should play before you play DA2. There is no way to get through 60 + hours of gameplay in a few days time.

There is only one series I want and thats Shenmue. It may look a little dated but Sega could release an HD version and test the waters for Shenmue 3.

It has little to do with being lazy. Some people don't like PC gaming as unbelievable as that sounds. I'm also one of them. I associate the PC with work, and casual forms of entertainment- like watching a youtube video or posting on this website. I have the same mentality when it comes to gaming on phones. Steam has an amazing community and PC games generally look better than console, but it doesn't matter, as irrational as that sounds. The frustration of a game not working becaus...

360 version for me. I played the original on the 360. I tried out the demo for PS3 and 360 and they seem to be on par, so my choice is clear. Perhaps one day I'll get this game for $15 on Steam for the mod support.

If the graphics on consoles are anywhere close to the PC version we will have a winner. Perhaps we might have the first true COD killer in our hands.

There will always be dedicated gaming devices for one very important reason: they play games better than all in one media devices, especially those with touch screens. Tactile feedback is key, as well as larger budget, play more than an hour games.

Don't get me wrong, I love Infinity Blade on my iPhone 4, but I would love it even more if it came to the NGP/3DS.

Hopefully the method they have for banning is fail proof. Otherwise, it shouldn't be done.

I'm still in disbelief that the R4 works with the 3DS. You would think Nintendo would make a harder effort to fix this. Its almost as if they don't care enough.
