I think the game has a lot going for it. It was an almost buy for me but for the right price, I'll pick it up. They should have included a better demo! :-p
@ Neo Nugget- ditto on that one. I sold my PSP Go because many games never showed up on PSN or were delayed.
The price drop is definitely a good thing. I would buy another...I have a hoard of minis, psone, and psp games, however I'm going to wait till NGP comes out and save for that.
I think boss fights should be dependent on the game. If the regular enemies are sufficiently challenging in themselves, then there is little reason to include bosses; you could simply up the number of enemies the protagonist fights or the abilities of the enemies.
Bosses fights are fun when they're integrated into a larger battle and serve as a climatic end to a level or the game.
I had the option of waiting for this or getting an iphone 4. I chose the later. My fear was that the device would release to little fanfare and that few Experia Play specific games would be made for it. Of course this is nothing but speculation, but it doesn't seem like a sure thing (imo). Furthermore, the non-ability to transfer any of my Playstation 1 games killed it for me.
I have a boatload of backlog games to get through but Beyond Good and Evil 2 needs to be made. Buying it this week. Everyone must buy BG&E HD!
I only want Visceral to churn out Dead Space every other year. As lame as that sounds, its my favorite series.
Skyrim
Mass Effect 3
Dragon Age 2
Dark Souls
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
In that order for me.
I get the feeling that I'm missing out...
I have Spartacus seasons 1 and 2 in my Netflix que and was just about to watch it.
Now I have more incentive to watch ;-p
The original Xbox was a beast. I miss it. I will never forget playing Halo: CE for the first time at a Comp USA. You can use the Xbox as a pretty good HTPC too.
I wanted to play Other M on my Wii but my disc drive is broken. I'm thinking about selling it after I get it repaired, however I have a bunch of VirtuaConsole games that I would essentially lose :-p
Outside of Nintendo's software offerings there is little that I'm remotely interested on the Wii. Metroid Other M and Donkey Kong I would like to play. I hope the Wii 2 (or whatever its called) is backwards compatible. And I agree...Metroid Other M and/or any Wii game ...
I already own BG&E on Steam but I became annoyed by how dated it looked and the 4:3 aspect ratio. For those reasons I never played too much of it; I'm glad that it was only $5 on sale. I'm definitely looking forward to the re-release and happy that the re-buy isn't too expensive. Investing $15 total ($10 re release, $5 Steam sale) isn't horrible for such a feature packed game.
I would agree except for the fact that this is an Xbox Live/PSN game and not a $60 retail release. It's $10...stop complaining. If you want a sequel, then show Ubisoft that you want one by buying this game. Its excellent and doesn't look like a shotty touch up job. I'm happy I'm able to experience the best version of a classic.
I forgive Amazon :-)
@ Washington-Capitals- There are many problems with your argument but that most obvious is that your under the impression any Android phone compares when it comes to gaming. The Iphone has more apps and games than all the other smartphones combined and then some plus Game Center. I currently have a Droid 1 and wish Android Marketplace had the same level of dev support. Perhaps Android Marketplace might get to a level on par with the App Store, but perhaps not. I am due for an upgrade and have...
I am due for an upgrade on Verizon's network and very much looked forward to getting this phone. The only problem is that you cannot sync your PSN account with the Xperia Play. You have to repurchase your PSone games if you want to play them. Thats what killed it for me. Also, people are misinformed. Sony Ericsson are responsible for this phone. Sony's game division has little to do with the Xperia Play. I was looking forward to this phone so I'm pretty disappointed. Guess I'l...
I know everyone doesn't care about sales versus the quality of game, however Skyrim will sell much more. The Elder Scrolls IP is a gold mine and judging from the success of Oblivion, Skyrim can only do better with all the improvements being made.
My most anticipated rpgs for 2011:
Skyrim
Dragon Age 2
Dark Souls
Demon Souls (playthroughs 2 and 3)
Torchlite 1 (console version)
I am hoping that Torch...
The article says that the PC version has DirectX 11 support. It didn't say anything about the PC version being crippled. Visually, Dragon Age Origins was vastly superior on the PC. The consoles versions on the other hand didn't look very good by any definition. Why is it horrible that the console versions look a lot better in DA2 and each version is optimized?
I bought Move in anticipation for KZ3 so I've put a decent amount of time with it into the beta. Overall, I would say that Move is excellent. The gesture controls to melee and to reload are pretty awesome and adds to the immersion factor. Accuracy seemed to be improved over a standard controller. Movement and turning took a little bit more time to get into, although the learning curve isn't too high.
I've been playing multiplayer sessions primarily with bots. In t...
Tell me about it...
Some people have to document their whole darn life on Facebook. The most annoying friends I try to ignore although I've been tempted to click the delete button more than a few times.
On topic: Social gaming would hardly be as shameful to play for everyone if notifications were turned off by default and in game progress wasn't pasted everywhere.
I find it hard to believe many hardcore(anyone on N4G) gamers play Fa...
Likewise. I don't think I'm looking at the same screens as everyone else. They aren't Uncharted/Killzone level looking graphics but they look a heck of a lot better than MAG. I think we can all be our own self critic and just play the beta when it comes out. I don't need the peanut gallery (gamersmint & fanboy's) to tell me a game looks good or not.
