Correction: no profit, but cheap copy of Portal 2 :-p
I could sell Mortal Kombat for $50 on half.com. I sell new games all the time for that price. Its a good way to sell games I've barely played and make off like a bandit. Compare $50 to the $30 you might get from Gamestop. I would also be selling the $50 gift card.
All in all I would purchase the deal for $120 plus tax and end up paying only $20-$25 for Portal 2 after I sold the gift card and MK. Math f...
I want my internet browser and e-shop update! I hope the internet browser is decent this time around. The DSi/Dsixl browsers were slow enough to be nigh usable even on websites with mobile compatibility.
It sounds superficial but I decided not to get it because of the lack of trophies :-p In my defense I did buy Valkyrie Chronicles sans trophies.
Also, I tried the demo and it wasn't my cup of tea.
Step 1: Buy Mortal Kombat and Portal 2
Step 2: Sell Mortal Kombat and $50 giftcard
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: Profit!!! and free copy of Portal 2
I wouldn't mind Diablo 3 coming to consoles... :-)
Its in the best interest of Sony and Microsoft to bring their consoles to $200 or less if they want to capture more of the Wii marketshare. Kinect was a good initiative to do that although the cost is still too high. If the price of Kinect fell to $100 and $250 for a hardware bundle, sales would increase further.
I want some more games for Kinect! :-( Gun Slinger looks promising however I wouldn't mind a few other game announcements and Kinect game previews before E3.
I loved both games for most of the same reasons listed in the article. I hope they mix the best qualities of DA:O's and DA2.
With that said, I felt like my actions in Dragon Age 2 carried less weight. In Origins you pretty much save all of Ferelden. In DA2...you save Kirkwall. The mage/templar conflict has real implications for fututure DA games, however there wasn't anything else that seemed to have a grander scale then that. What makes Dragon Age 2 a true sequel? ...
I hope you get banned. Good day.
I hope they are referring to the 3DS as I would love to have some Bioware love on my new handheld.
Is the story more of the same sort of experience as the first? The story is longer and more developed, however, I wonder if there is dialog and exploration in addition to linear levels with increasing levels of difficulty...
The free Steam copy alone is a great reason to buy the PS3 version. $20 credit from Amazon doesn't hurt one bit.
Bioware didn't turn Dragon Age into a Medieval Mass Effect. It took one of the best elements of Mass Effect, the dialog wheel and strong voice acting, and mixed it into Dragon Age. The story of Dragon Age 2 wouldn't have been the same were it not for the strong voice acting. It was very hard not to like Isabella or any of the other characters because of how personable you could be with them.
The biggest problem with Dragon Age 2 was the repetitive nature of many of t...
I expected Crysis 2 to beat out Homefront. It released at the end of the month so perhaps its too early to bill it as a failure.
You could also make the argument that the lower cost of DS game development added to the success of that platform. If it costs a few hundred thousand to produce a game and profit rather than a few million, which would you choose? The low dev cost of the DS also contributed to a lot of crap games, so pick your poison I guess.
I can imagine that digital distribution is going to factor into the success of 3DS and NGP in a big way. Aside from DD of larger games, bite sized games...
Sounds about right to me. Everyone hopes for the best price possible, but you have to keep in mind that quality comes with a cost. If the NGP is more expensive than $350 I probably won't buy it right away. If its more expensive, it will turn off a lot of other people as well but will still nap the early adopters. I usually count myself among them, however $400 bones for a handheld is too pricey for me.
The other day I was thinking about Playstation Suite on top end Andro...
It should also have more than 512 MB of internal flash memory :-)
I'm very happy that I'll be able to transfer any DSi downloadable games to my 3DS in the future. I hope they allow the same file/license transfer between Wii and Wii 2.
The Wii in HD or equivalent to PS3/360 would be enough to convince most casual gamers to buy. If they include achievements/trophies/rewards, etc, compelling online and a cool game play gimmick they will nab the hardcore...
The screen shots don't look all that great. Is this a game for PS3/360 or 3DS? I kid...however, the game doesn't look any better than the last RE game.
If only odst's were as powerful in Halo, the Covenant wouldn't have won any ground battles and the Spartan's wouldn't have been needed. :-p
Longer time to completion doesn't make a game better or worse. 15 hours is a very reasonable time for a FPS. I have limited time to game so I appreciate the fact its not super long; I'm guaranteed to finish it :-)
Unless your a younger gamer, I don't see the appeal of this game. If it was free with trophies I could imagine a million trophy hunters buying the game for a month subscription. With all the awesome games on PS3, including DC Universe, why would you ever play this game?
The concept looks like a Mac mini! I like the design but then again it looks eerily similar to the mini. Apple would sue.
