OK I just downloaded the Tomb Raider director trailer on PSN, and I have to say it looks A LOT BETTER than these pictures, the animations are incredible, the graphics are just as good as Uncharted but it had better vegetation, and the gun play is a lot better than previous Tomb Raiders and finally fills next gen.

Uncharted's has better character models, better textures, and better lighting.
Tomb Raiders has more realistic grass patches (Uncharted has those spiky things in the ground), and from these screens Tomb Raider may have better shadows if it's consistent since I know Uncharted has great shadows as well.

Those are stupid reasons not to truly like this game. Every game does something different to set it apart. You can say the same thing about every game he list. Gears doesn't let you collect as much stuff as Fallout 3, Fallout 3 doesn't have a cover system, and Dead Space can have limited ammo as well, even more so than Resistance.
Now if you flip none of those games have 8 player co-op or 60 player online, so it's all just a matter of preference.

WTF happened to the PS3 sales. Little Big Planet and Gran Turismo. OK. I think Little Big Planet will be one of those games that starts off really slow, and gains momentum down the road. It will sell extremely well eventually hopefully 3 - 4 mil.
Well what do you have to say about other sites and magazines that clearly say Resistance is a better game. Both games are great, and I would have a hard time picking between them, but Resistance content is probably what would push me to buy it over Gears 2. And trust me I love Gears, thanks Gamefly for the early copy.
Yes Resistance 2 lighting is great, and they also did the lighting for Killzone 2.

I think this game should have a price cut as soon as it hits. It's been in the works far too long, and for something you would expect would take a couple of months. $10 is my max, and I might give in to $15. But if it's $10 or more I'll wait for SF4.
WTF. Why has Game Informer rated Gears 2 and Resistance 2 so low. I expected at least a 9.5 for both of them. Something must be going on over there. Maybe Nintendo bought them.
I want to change my comment. I think both games are about equal. I had a better time with Gears sing;e player and I like single player campaigns more than online. To me the single player is the game and the online gives the game longevity, but I was wrong. Resistance 2's campaign isn't as good as Gears 2, but it is still just as good of a game overall.

If you like Multiplayer games Resistance is definitely the way to go.
Gears to me is the better game single player-wise, but Resistance 2 gives you the best bang for your buck it just has too much content that it makes me hate it'll take over 200 hours of my life away (there's no way I'm going to fully complete this game). But both games are great.

This is surprising, because they did give the first Resistance a 9.5/10 and they have nothing but praise for the game except that the weapon wheel is missing from the single player. I completely agree that the weapon wheel should have at least been kept for single player, but that's no reason to give the game an 8.5/10. First off this is Halo's 3rd game which means they should have the formula down pact so it's silly to argue that this is Resistance's 2nd attempt on PS3.
Secondly Halo 3 took practically the same amount of time to make as Resistance 2 for those of you who have forgotten the Xbox 360 came out in 2005 and Halo 3 came out in 2007. PS3 came out 2006 Resistance 2 came out 2008. 2 years each.
