If the game is suppose to come out next year then why not show something to get people excited again. They know it's Japan's top game, but I think America and Europe are unimpressed as of now, because there is NOTHING to inspire us to look for to this game. SHOW US SOMETHING

They did it because they want the content to stay exclusive to Japan. Every PS3 owner has an account in all territories so they knew if the put it on PSN everyone would get it. Those dirty intelligent bastards.
Plus this should spark a slight fuse in Japan, since it has a lot of Japanese geared entertainment on the disc even tough many of the demos are already on PSN (unless they are different parts of the game).

Even though this is for the iPod Touch, this would be another reason why the next PSP doesn't need phone capabilities. There are bound to be multiple online phone services in the future and the PSP 2 would most likely be able to use these apps. which would save Sony a lot of money since they won't have to include phone capabilities.
The reason games are only 8 hours is not because of space, but because the developers run out of ideas on how to keep gamers entertained. Would you rather play an 8 hour shooter that gives you everything you need, or drag through a 20 hour shooter that does nothing to progress the gameplay along.

However I can see something like the full Final Fantasy 13 vs. being released with FF 7 Advent Children: Complete 2 (or whatever) on one disc. Also Wardevil the game and movie could also do this. I think having a short movie of the game should be included in all collectors editions of games. That would be awesome.
Lair was a bad game. There was nothing marginally exciting after about the first hour. The game didn't have any variety which to me was it's ultimate downfall. The motion controls only aided in the downfall, but the game was poo. Great sound and graphics, but poo.

2009 is going to be another leap of for the PS3 over last year. It seems that every year the PS3 takes a leap forward with it's exclusives to show off the systems capabilities even more. I can't wait to see what else developers can squeeze out of the PS3, because as of now it seems to only get better with time.

PS3 d-pad is great, and normally most people don't play fighting games for hours and hours so I find it hard to hurt your hand.
I however, can play with arcade sticks at all, I don't like the control of the sticks and after a couple of minutes my wrist starts hurting terribly.

Gears is great and hopefully it does happen, everyone should be able to enjoy every multiplatform game, unless of course one of the console manufacturers pays for the game to be made.

I think that the PSP is missing it's Pokemon, it just doesn't have anything like that on it. Pokemon can last you a long time, and if the PSP had a game like that it could potentially last forever with DLC, which I think they would do more with the PSP if software sold more. Again I have the perfect game for them if Sony would just hire me.
Feb. is going to be tough for it with Killzone 2 and Street Fighter 4. I would wait until April since nothing important has been announced for the month.
There is nothing worst then having to wait for something, you really really want. This will be the first time I actually want to watch the VGA's (watched before, but it was OK).

Honestly there were just way too many games coming out in such a short span of time that there was no way for your average gamer to get all of them.

Overall the PSP doesn't have impressive games, but the ones that are good, are of console quality. Whereas the DS has variety of fun games so I understand wh ythey game the games to DS.
Whoever stuck these videos up is the most evil person. I didn't want to watch them, but I couldn't help it. Now I spoiled some of the game for myself, oh well these videos let me no I'm getting this game as soon as it comes out, and so should everyone else who owns a PS3, and even if you don't own a PS3 you should go out and buy one for this game (and the many other great games on the console, do the same for the 360).

Yes this is going to be huge, but Microsoft does have games coming out. They have Halo Wars, Halo Recon, Alan Wake, Forza 3, Ninja Blade, Fallout DLC, GTA DLC, 99 Nights 2 (umh.), Star Ocean: LH. And we can't forget MS doesn't reveal games until their no more than a couple of months away.

Depends on the developer. Not every game has 40 or 50 trophies. Linger in the Shadows only has like 8 or 12.
Most game with a lot of trophies offer a tone of bronze 5 sliver 3 gold and 1 plat. At least they're giving us more silver and gold (which I believe boosts you ranking up more).
