It looks amazing, but it does look a little too easy. They both have the same attack pattern, but the Scourge (???) fight will be a little more difficult with the bombers running around. I hate to get into this, but I'm very impressed with the graphics, and I want no need to see more Resistance 2 campaign graphics to see how the two compare. I'm sure Gears 2 will fend off Resistance 2 graphics wise, but Resistance has put up a huge resistance this time.

Now that I've finished the video I must say I'm really impressed, this game has a huge sense of dread to it. I mean that I really got the sense of "I need to get out of here before I get killed". Personally it made me feel the need for Survival, and I think that's what kind of game it should be. Adventure/Survival. I think Heavy Rain is going to be one of the best experiences for 09 maybe not the best game, but a great and refreshing experience.
The graphics in this game look amazing. I don't know about the gameplay though need to see more. I didn't like how long it took to roll the barrel, but the movement, animations, and everything else looks spot on. Just refine the gameplay and I'm sure the PS3 has another hit.
Resistance 2 does have a high Metacritic score so far, and I expect it to stay that way.
Let's hope everyone does the same. Especially that evil Metacritic.
LOL I believe that they gimped the PS3 version on purpose to. Oblivion came out a year later on the PS3, but the PS3 also came out a year later than the 360. They should have been familiar enough with the PS3 to make this game just as good as the 360 version. But seeing how they are only making DLC for the 360 version, I would have to say that Microsoft money helped get the PS3 version less attention than the 360 version.

I think it was going to be good, but the game got juiced for Call of Duty World at War which I'm sure most of us would dish out $60 for rather than a Bond game. Had Call of Duty World at War got pushed back to 2009 like Treyarch believed it was, then I think this game would have gotten the treatment they were going to put into it.
They are about the same. But the PS3 version has more effects. The are shadows on the PS3 version that are missing on the 360 version, and the sun is actually a sun on the PS3 verses a huge shine on the 360.
I think the lauch of the next gen systems took gaming (graphic wise) to the next level, but it seems that Killzone 2 will take current gen systems to the next level already. This game looks absolutely amazing, and I can only imagine what we'll be seeing and playing later in these console life, let alone when we receive the PS4 and Xbox 720.
Unfortunately based off Metacritic a B+ = 83. I personally complained about the numerical values given to media that is score based off a letter grade and they basically said "this is how we been doing it since 2001 so deal with it." I wanted to reply "this is how you get yo site hacked deal with it," but I let it be. We should all send emails until they change it. Anyway this is how they review.

I think that the reason why reviews are rating this game so bad is not only for the server problems, but also because they expected the game to be good and already had their minds set on giving it an 8 or 9 after they got done with the beta. I think when a reviewer goes into a game that they know nothing about they expect the worst or mediocrity, but when the game offers up some good gameplay (Condemned) or exceeds all expectations (Bioshock for example) then they automatically rate the game...
If everything come out then Sony is going to have a killer 09. 08 is pretty good, but 09 is impressive.

I forgot about those, but Star Ocean 4 may be coming to the PS3 later on. We still don't know anything about Splinter Cell 4, Velvet Assassin (doesn't interest me at all), looking forward to Alan Wake, Forza 3 I agree may come out???, and I don't know too much about Project Offset.
So they do have some things announced, but everything they showed for these games were trailers since E3 06, they need to refresh our memories. Thanks for the update though.

Both the games were great, but neither of them had a soul. You played them because you knew they were going to be good (and they were), but they never truly engrossed you in the games. You never had that feeling of I can't wait to see what happens next.
I'm guessing you're a fan of Resistance 2 more so than Gears 2. Well the boss on the San Francisco level of Resistance 2 is almost identical to the one in Gears so I guess they also ripped off Dead Space.
